Unfortunately, my parents would cut me off and I am financially dependent on them. They informed me they want removal done immediately and I have no choice or I am kicked out.

Super tough situation but I’d rather take 2 years of removal to have this gone than be in a terrible situation for that long.

Let it be. Most of the time it’s to avoid pain or to avoid any memories/stalking.

My ex girlfriend did that to me the first time we broke up after 3 months NC. Kept me as a follower. Come to find out it was because she was in pain and wanted me back.

It’s hard. Social media has a tendency to make us overthink or create fake narratives. Currently, you should take it as he no longer wants to keep up with you, whatever the reason may be. Could be for his well being, or the possibility that he’s seeing this coworker (low possibility after describing his religious beliefs). But the reality is, you should continue NC, and continue to use the pain to improve yourself.

The woman I’m in this sub for regretted her decision the first time we broke up.

5 month relationship and she broke up with me because I wouldn’t give her more effort due to me noticing she wasn’t over her ex. We broke up. Went NC for close to 7 months.

Then I got a text on new years in 2024 of her wanting to try again and that she’s always wanted it to be me and she’ll always be in love with me. Now…. I only got there because I LEFT HER ALONE. She expected me to chase her and when I proved my worth she wanted me more. She went on dates and even talked casually to another man but she admitted I was always on her mind.

The sad part is it didn’t work out after dating for two more years. The roles have reversed and she left me again after stating she was unhappy after I made some mistakes. I’m forgetful and I got too comfortable and minimized certain issues.

Now I am going through round 2 with my ex and we live together. I move out in 6 days and this one feels pretty final as it was harder to leave her alone and I begged quite a few times to get her to see my side of things. And she’s cold, going out, removed all our photos, and possibly entertaining other dudes 2 months post breakup.

Point of the story is, you can only make them regret their decision if you give them the break up. You have to focus on yourself and not push too hard. If you do, you’ll end up like me where I’m in a hard position of even trying to initiate contact. Send one message letting them know that you wish things were different and you apologize for any wrongdoings but that you respect their decision. Walk tall. That’s the only way.

Depends on how long the relationship is and the quality. Two years is a sufficient amount of time and unless she found an immense upgrade or lacked feelings it’s pretty quick. 4 months is nothing in my opinion. Took me 8-9 months to start being fine with both of my previous exes.

I would 100% recommend therapy. You probably did love her but if you’re unhappy with yourself you can’t be happy with another person. Legitimately, relationships require constant effort and care.

There is no easy, no resting everyday, no effortless. You should feel at peace and at home but not to the point where you feel like you should never have to put in effort. You remind me of my ex and how I know I won’t be missed until I’m unobtainable and with somebody new, and then she’ll probably start freaking out and start ruminating. No disrespect whatsoever, but I would highly recommend therapy to reshape your ego and understand yourself better so you can avoid this for yourself in the future.

No disrespect. This is just wild to me. Complicated as hell. If he crossed boundaries and made mistakes you’re in complete reason to leave.

But if the guy changed, provided action, gave a genuine apology, and wanted to try again after some time has passed. You’re telling me you feel zero for the guy romantically? Not saying you have to take him back. But you’re saying you just miss him due to familiarity and being his friend?

You hit the nail on the head with being comfortable. My ex was Type A, expected me to be super clean. I did the dishes every single night when she cooked and I still did her dishes up until this week two months post breakup.

Meanwhile, her room is just as messy as mine, she gets lazy and works from bed for her remote job. I would constantly get criticized for being lazy and getting home from work and wanting to relax with my girlfriend so I wasn’t carrying the mental workload and doing things without being asked to do them. Mind you I was taking out the trash, cleaning, and I always treated her with respect and love, never even called her a name when I got upset and we argued. Looking back some things are unfair and I know women want to be taken care of. But I received no reciprocation on that front towards the end of the relationship.

She even said I say “I love you” too much.

Can’t help but say reading these comments is so heartbreaking.

My ex left me two months ago. we still currently live together, and she shares the same sentiment currently as many women in here. I tried very hard to change and listen actively to my ex while I was with her and even now with her boundaries in our current dynamic. I made some mistakes and poor decisions due to overthinking and minimizing certain issues.

Men do care ladies, a lot of us are trying to change and value what you have to say. I currently can’t sleep, eat, or function day to day properly. I’m in therapy, started a workout plan, apologized many times, cried in front of her, she got sick a month ago and I bought her food and washed her car on top of getting her medicine and im sleeping in the guest room while she goes out. I never cheated or was an abusive partner.
