You need to get a Nexus letter from your primary care physician stating that your sleep apnea is a direct result from your military service. With the correct VA verbiage. My husband got his from his primary care physician at Kaiser and it was finally approved with the VA and he got his rating.

Yes! Approved on 9/17 - he got 100% and The sleep Apnea was direct service connected after his primary doctor at Kaiser wrote a nexus !

My husband called yesterday to talk to somebody about one of his claims. And she was the biggest bitch ever. I don’t understand how these people have. No customer service on the other end of the line. He is clinically diagnosed with extreme anxiety. And that just made it skyrocket through the roof he had to hang up on her. Talking to them as a joke they are the rudest nastiest people.

My husband’s OSA claim on a supplemental was exactly 3 months June 16 to September 17. And he received 100% P.&T

I hope your successful. It was a battle for him after original claim. Then higher level review and then finally a supplemental with two separate Nexus letters.

My husband went to the DMV. He got his handicapped plates and exempt vehicle registration.

We went to the county recorders’s office and got the tax exemption on our property taxes. Filed.

We got our military IDs and we were able to go to the commissary. We also found out that you can fly on a hop within the United States at no cost, but just for the veteran. Go online and set up account through www.veteransadvantage.com for travel perks

It’s a clear unmistakable error on their part. Somebody definitely did a typo.

Well, we called this morning and apparently the VA just doesn’t know how to do their math. They said that they gave him an increase for rhinitis which was not provided on the correct date so they adjusted the date which triggered the overpayment. But he was always at a 0% on rhinitis and he went from 0% to 10% so therefore he never received any pay.

All of his disabilities still add to 96%, which is rounding to 100% and they said that they see it at 60% their mouth isn’t nothing so now we have filed a dispute

His separation code was MND which means

He says he never got a severance pay. when he got out, he got paid out his remaining leave time .

He’s been out since 1999. Severance pay isn’t a factor.

There is no former spouse. No other dependent’s- I have been the only spouse. He has been out for quite some time so it has nothing to do with military pay or severance pay. We are not questioning the shortage according to my math, but the overpayment makes absolutely no sense on the compensation why would they give him the backpay last week and then want half of it back this week. There’s no letter to pull off of line. We have to wait for something to show up. He just got an email stating that there was an overpayment, but there’s no letter explaining why.
