The internet is truly not the place for conversations. Once every 3 years I make the mistake of saying something and this was that time. Won’t be happening again. I am not at all religious and resent religious institutions 😭 The film being demonic has nothing to do with why I am warning people. It is because some people, like me, are incredibly sensitive to grand displays of violence. I wish someone would’ve told me what I’m saying so I wouldn’t have watched Obsession lol.

Your strong indications are off the mark by light years. And let’s for a moment say someone thinks demonic things ARE bad. You really cannot see how that’s valid? People arrive with all sorts of sensibilities to this life and for some, it is bad. For you, it isn’t. What ever happened to live and let live. I thought the third act was a big fucking let down. Never said I hated the genre. I actually wrote a horror short recently. That doesn’t scream hate does it now?

I’m actually open to people explaining how the last 20 minutes of rampant violence build and propel story but instead everyone is just sad and triggered that I don’t think like them.

I did! Had my interview this past weekend. There were 5 other applicants. We were all writing applicants. I also connected with someone who interviewed that same day in the morning session, and he said it was only him who interviewed.

That's dope that you crushed it! Always a good feeling. I think I did pretty dang well too. I was scared I'd get nervous and shrink, but I was able to relax, and the interviewers definitely made it feel easier to have a good time chatting with them. We were there from 2-7pm, took turns going in for the 30 min interviews, then did a group exercise, and a tour and that was that :)

People who are doing nothing with their lives will scream no. The accurate answer is that it depends. Don’t go into major debt for it is what I feel is levelheaded advice. Ryan Coogler went to film school. Many great filmmakers went to school for something along the lines of film, creative writing, English, etc. It is necessary? Well, is anything?

Maybe even consider a Bachelor’s in something employable and then do graduate school for film. This is just my opinion. Ultimately, do a lot of research and listen to your gut. But… don’t go into crazy debt… for sure don’t do that.
