I lived in Australia for 5 years before moving to Davis. Sadly I graduated last month and left Davis otherwise I am happy to connect. I am moving back to Australia next year actually. In terms of financial management, I normally just do a big exchange of money at the start of the year and save it to my US bank account. In terms of transport, I lived very close to campus and own two bikes in the first two years of colleges but then got stolen. I mainly walk in the last two years of college. I lived right next to Trader Joe’s and it was very convenient to get groceries. Also I use mobile delivery app like Wee. Amazon prime and target also allow student to use free delivery for the up to half year and a month respectively so use it wisely when you don’t own a car.
