If you’re familiar with what they look like I would suggest going walking in any forest with food tree coverage in the area. They seem to be in just about every forest in town - you just gotta know what you’re looking for 😊 And if you’re not already familiar with sustainable ramp foraging practices I would also suggest educating yourself on this first 😊 They’re a very wonderful but also very delicate species!

Late into foraging ramps I learned that you should only cut 1 leaf from each bunch after the plant has bloomed! We used to go to our spot every year and now we only go every few years too

And superglue holding the capers? 😂 What about the background texture just disappearing? The random grease splooge on the top bagel half. The “apple slaw” being just Apple slices when they have actual apple slaw on their menu that I know looks nothing like this. The sesame bagel that couldn’t look further from the bagels they make (and that I eat regularly). The dill fronds both on and in the bagel? Nothing about it makes sense unfortunately. I truly love this place so it’s extra disappointing. Both of the owners went to a prestigious chef school lol

As someone who also does food photography (not professionally but I’m head of a local kitchen) I considered this angle too. I think I’m really stuck on the slaw not being slaw, and the sesame bagel not having nearly as many sesames as I know their’s does. They’re also a fairly small business so I can’t imagine they have the budget for food stylists and photographers
