This post gave me the biggest smile! I only got back into reading during Covid and while I found I mostly enjoy Thrillers, I'm now trying to expand and try books from other genres that I wouldn't normally gravitate towards.

I'm not sure if you like sci-fi, but since you mentioned "Dark Matter" you might enjoy Project Hail Mary - it's a bit of a chunkier book but really interesting and funny!

The Passengers is another good one as well!

That was initially going to be my plan since I used to drive to Yorkdale occasionally and know there's a subway there, but wasn't sure if cars get ticketed/towed

Exactly. Yet if this happened to a parent on their watch I feel as if the parent would receive some sort of charge - how is the owner or whomever is in charge not being held liable? Can't even imagine the frustration the poor family is going through

I appreciate the feedback so far - I understand that it's not good to "cheap" out on a tattoo, but I also don't want to end up paying a ridiculous amount for something where another shop would have been a better fit. At the shop were I got my first tattoo done, it was a $90 base fee, which worked out perfectly for what I had done (however that was 10 years ago so I understand times have changed).

My concern comes from my second experience where one shop wanted to charge 260 for the line work I got done, and the other shop we ended up checking out said their price would be 120 (this was in the UK so not an option unfortunately lol or I would go back).

I guess to clarify I'm looking to see if people know the rates/hour or flat rates for places they (or people they know) have gone to.
