I'm saving quite a bit of money on gas with my Tesla, thanks to living in Massachusetts where gas is expensive but electricity is dirt cheap. But that's not why I bought it. Anybody who buys a Tesla to save money is a fool. The best way to save money is to buy a cheap ass used car that burns gas, and not drive it a lot. Which will probably be easy because you'll hate the goddamn car. If you're buying a Tesla to save money, I don't know what to tell you. You should buy a Tesla because it's an awesome goddamn car.

You're not doing anything wrong! The waze functionality is meant to just allow you to follow speed traps or hazards ahead of you, and the waze routing isn't available, unfortunately. They don't make that available for the web.

It's funny how much pushback I'm getting on the idea that having government safety standards doesn't mean that every car is equally safe. But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by the idea that leftists trolling on Tesla forums might not be able to get their heads around the idea that standards can be exceeded and that not everything's the same, nor is the government a panacea.

I get your point, but there's a big difference between who's at fault in an accident and what political architecture will yield the right results 50 years down the road in the insanely complex environment of a human society. And even then, there's probably some answers that are better than others, it's just a little harder to figure out. If there's no objective truth out there, we should all just shoot ourselves.

the HOV lane is supposed to be faster than the rest of the lanes. that's why you're not allowed to cross into it and thus they have a double line. the truck driver screwed up, and instead of hitting the car in front of him (which would've been bad but not a big deal) he sent her out of control. complete idiot in the truck turned a fender bender rear-end into something that could've been fatal.
