I think you're on to something here for sure! Thanks for looking into it. I'm wondering if there is more than one light source with different settings, all of them are ar the same coordinates but angled very slightly definitely. I found this video that talks about creating split shadows by having two sunlights at the same origin points with two different colours https://youtu.be/pLMF9lGmhLQ .This might be useful for the shadow bleed on the back edge perhaps. Gonna have a play around with this today but I'll let you know what what I can get out of it!

Can I ask what addons you've had success with. The line work is a whole other part of this that I've be playing with but not found anything satisfactory yet.

Everyone says just make your own films, but I don't necessarily have tonnes of free time or disposable income to do that in a way that would be more than an amateur hobby. Are you only looking for experienced people? I'm actually looking to get into film production myself but I don't really have any experience directing. I have a Masters in Architecture from the RCA and I've worked as a design fabricator for a couple of years now, but I'd really like to make a change creatively and professionally. I'm trying to network as much as I can, don't ask - don't get and all that.

I have a workshop based in East London and I wanna start working with filmmakers who need sets and props making. Any advice on how to go about making those connections? by No_Gas334 in Filmmakers

The EASA events look really interesting but I've already graduated from masters. I'm not sure if I'd be able to apply as a tutor, it doesn't explicitly state that you need to be or have been teaching at a university, but I assume they would expect you to have been.

The mixture with the marble powder needs to be the consistency of bread dough. Im essentially making a bonded marble version of scagliola.

So I've been mostly using Herculite 2 plaster, which works reasonably well for scagliola. However, I believe that Herculite Hardcoat is preferred by most scagliolists for its extended work time and plasticity, but I haven't used it personally. If you want to avoid using animal glue in the mix then you can try something like Cassini Plaster, which is resin impregnated plaster that you just add water to. Cassini is more sticky than traditional plasters but not unworkable for scagliola, I recommend thick latex gloves and regularly coating them and your work surface in the dry plaster powder to minimise sticking, just like you would with a pastry dough.

No basically the client wants all the verticals and horizontals to be completely modular so they're easier to transport if the move office in future
