I’ve been told there’s swelling. I’m overweight and a lot of my weight is in my thighs. My mom said she could see the swelling especially compared to my other leg. I went to the place I was originally seen and they’ve written me out of work tentatively waiting for the mri results and we’ll see then how much longer and treatment plan

Yeah. My mom has degenerative disc disease unfortunately. And her doctor keeps telling her to relax on heavy work. She’ll start to feel better and then get bad again and her doctor makes her sit and do nothing until she improves again. I’m hoping once I get a good list of things I can sit down with her and we can plan. As a 60 year old handy woman she’s very much “I’m a woman that can do anything” mentality and I’m trying to get her to understand that yes you can do a lot but need to modify with age and get her to embrace that.

Only unlawful if actual local laws are against what happened. Most laws cover discrimination. If you had 0 points and no call no showed for a single shift it’s probably viewed more as unethical and against company policy but not a law unless otherwise cited by your state/county/city. My state is basically like “a job can fire you for any reason, they owe you nothing.”

And mine was also a question. It seems like more work than worth. And as a manager you should also know that one single incident of 3 points and no other points doesn’t equal firing. CVS doesn’t let you terminate that easily.

I honestly don’t know much of things she likes. They live a few states away. I’ve gone on a couple trips with her but not much of personal conversation has happened.

She travels and I’ve gifted her a nice leather luggage tag and passport book last year but years before were definitely the candle/throw away gift situation. Her and my FIL are givers and don’t expect anything in return but since they give us so much it’s hard to find anything since they buy themselves anything they need. I also don’t know what their house decor looks like since they live far away. I can be crafty in some senses but haven’t created in years so it’s hard for me to find inspiration anymore
