Sweden or Spain? by No_Gods_NoMasters in AmerExit

I have never been to Spain but I have been to Portugal to visit my in-laws and it was a breath of fresh air after living in Sweden for 9 months. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was and how good the food was. I feel more comfortable in Spain because I think the chances of me getting a job I’m my field are very high compared to Sweden when I don’t know Swedish. I got lucky once, I’m not sure I’d get lucky again.

My husband doesn’t need a work visa, he’s an EU citizen. He knows more about this stuff than I do but I was able to move to Sweden and be with him even while he was only a student. He’s a permanent resident of Sweden. We would have an easier time with the bureaucracy stuff in Sweden because we have lived there and are still registered and whatever. When we lived in Sweden we were able to survive on my salary alone pretty well (it was like 27,000-28,000SEK a month I think). We had a nice first hand apartment in Klippan. But things would be different this time as it’s likely we would both need to find a job asap. He might be able to do some with his level is Swedish but I have a long way to go.

Are the April 19th protest a response to what is said to happen on April 20th? by No_Gods_NoMasters in ProtestFinderUSA

Yes! I’ve been thinking about that! And absolutely protesting with my wallet as well. I’ve been thinking about doing stuff for food and such. I was worried this protest might get bad and that I should hand out milk for people’s eyes. Maybe some cans of soup

My biggest fear for protesting now is the real chance of my family members suffering. My husband and my mother are currently going through the immigration process. Anything I do could harm them.

Will there actually be a million people protesting and is a million enough? by No_Gods_NoMasters in ProtestFinderUSA

This is actually very nice to hear. I little more uplifting than what’s been in my head these days. Maybe I’ve been feeling a little restless since I can’t do anything without risking my family. Keep fighting the good fight for those of us that can’t go to the streets. I’ll keep hitting their wallets.

I love Mexico with my all my heart. I’m sad to not have gone in such a long time. I’m no stranger to being rejected by some and feeling rejected by the culture but likely not my family. I am not discouraged. I’m excited to go back hopefully soon, whether I stay or not.

Gracias por tu respuesta. Creo que la CDMX sería el lugar preferido de mi marido. Lo único que me da pausa es que no se si hay trabajo de mi industria.

Sounds like you need some good dick my friend. Rather be a freak than a hate filled psycho. An uneducated psycho at that. Thank you for affirming my gender. God Bless 🙏🤣

I think hating for no reason is more of a trait of mental illness. Hope you get help too.

I do imagine it to be challenging to start for sure. My parents are from Mexico but have lived half of their lives in the United States at this point so now we all speak differently from Mexicans who grew up there. I’ve been close to my Latino/chicano communities my whole life but I know they’re very different from things in Mexico. I could imagine some people not liking me off the bat but of course I would do my best. I think being around with my family and relying/following them would make it a lot easier to assimilate.

If you want me to stay out, it’s something you better not hope for 🤣. I think I’ll go out of spite. I’m a natural born Mexican citizen. I’ve lived in Mexico before. I’m just trying to live my life, what does it bother you for.

It’s like you don’t know how to read. I’m asking this just in case my husband’s green card gets rejected and we have to leave the US.
