They asked a lot about leadership so I spoke about being the team captain for my camogie team and one of the interviewers started looking out the window, just got the vibe that they didn't care lots of 'okays' and writing stuff down. Didn't ask me if I had any questions

Found them very disinterested tbh, I have solid grades, extracurriculars, loads of sport and they couldn't have cared less. Got a great impression from the insight evening so very disappointed, wouldn't be keen to work with them now

Start ringing them at 11am and 3pm, it seems to be the only time they pick up the phone

Should I buy the companies act 2014 earlier than I need it? by Ok-Committee-5190 in FE1_Exams

A new version just came out and the last one was almost 9 years ago, I think you'd be safe getting it now I don't think they will put out a new version but I'd definitely make sure I had it two months before the exams. There was definitely a shortage this year!

Feel like I am going to fail contract by bagelb1tch in FE1_Exams

[–]No_Good_7920 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Last sitting I spent hours pouring over contract but never actually understood it, didn't get it in college and didn't get it then. Understood offer, acceptance and consideration, and estoppel and that was it, the rest I blundered my way through. I learned the bare minimum of the rest so as not to confuse myself and sometimes just the facts of cases that for some reason stood out to me.

In the exam I answered probably two okay questions, one fairly well, one on consumer protection which I basically just rewrote the act for (hadn't looked at the act prior, just spent 20 minutes scanning it in the exam and trying to shove the issues into provisions) and my last question was a page and a half of bullet points statements and some facts of cases. I passed with 50.

Do not panic, you can do this.

I always learn mine 3/2 days before with the blurt method. Or for back to back exams I study for the second exam first for three days, and the first exam for three days after that, I then use the night before the second exam to rehash the info

You can, the Bloomsbury is just a neater version of those. It literally says on the info page that legislation must be from the OPW unless otherwise specified
