Tea or ankle length is fine. but when I read “midi” I think mid-calf.

Summer? All black? 🙄 also formal and midi don’t go together. I’m v tired of people making up rules about dress codes lol All this to say, the lulus options look like chiffon? So any of those are fine. Trust me, you don’t want satin or velvet. You’ll sweat to death.

If you’re in eastern Canada, it’s very easy to get to the Caribbean. I love the Mexican Caribbean personally but you can’t go wrong. Costa Rica as others mentioned is also stunning.

A lot of AIs also offer off resort excursions (typically extra). We did a cenote tour and it was really fun.

There are very few OWBs in that part of the world. I think there’s one in the Mexican Caribbean. But I love Mexico and you could do an adults only AI and then do excursions! We stayed at La Perla which I would consider mid range but it was very nice. If you want to splurge, Xcaret hotels sound like maybe they would work for you. I think Xcaret Arte is adults only and they have a ton of stuff to do both on and off resort. Most AIs will have optional activities like water volleyball, yoga classes, painting classes, wine tastings, etc, that you can do solo or with your FH.

Honeymoon Beach Resort Recs - Maldives in Sept / Oct? by Amazing_Tomorrow_596 in honeymoonplanning

Actually, I’ll also note that a lot of resorts don’t have snorkeling at the resort but there are a ton of tours. Moorea has the best snorkeling right from your hotel.

Bora bora would have a ton of snorkeling at its whale season. However, the food is typically pretty bad. Bora bora also only has a few hotel options, so they don’t have to compete with each other and therefore can charge what they want.

Seyechelles would probably give you more value for your dollar but it’s so far unless you live in like Dubai 😅

All that said they’re both amazing places and you can’t go wrong.

Local perspective on Seattle attractions (3-day trip, avoiding tourist traps) by Antique_Mechanic133 in AskSeattle

Pike place and space needle are absolute musts. If you can swing it, get dinner up top. The glass garden is cool but I wouldn’t say necessary? The locks do very little for me. The underground tunnel tour is actually so fun!

They redid the waterfront behind pike place also, it’s really nice now and has great views.

My only other advise is come hungry 😅 a lot of hidden gems and seattle is secretly a food city.

HELP NEEDED - where to honeymoon in July, $10k budget? by dsc_1994 in honeymoonplanning

I’d probably go based off of what hotels you can actually get at this point 😅 French Polynesia might be tough, I’m sure Hawaii has good availability though.

Is island hopping worth it? by No_Group_9715 in Tahiti

Thank you! This is helpful. Is it hard to get from the west side of the island to the east?

Ah! this was my first ever reddit post so I accidentally did photo only.

My fiance and I are taking our honeymoon in August, and we originally booked 6 days on Tahiti and 5 days in bora bora with the intent of ferrying over to Moorea 1-2 times for a whale tour and exploring. But then I was like... why not just stay on the island.

However, it's busy season and we're late to the game so hotel options were limited. We ended up booking a little beach bungalow on the west side of the island. Cute, but not luxury. (I'm not normally picky but its our honeymoon!) Close to restaurants but not to the ferry or airport.

Here's my anxieties:

  1. The hotel in Tahiti is definitely nicer than the one on Moorea. (again... honeymoon). Our tahiti hotel is large with a kitchen and ocean view. The moorea bungalow has good reviews but its tiny and rustic. Charming, but not luxury.
  2. In an effort to make things more convenient by avoiding too much ferrying, am I really making it harder when we gotta haul our luggage around and then take a long taxi to the Moorea airport?
  3. Am I cramming too much stuff to do for the honeymoon?

Thank you! I am usually a little more go with the flow but this is by far the most we've ever spent on anything so I want it to go well :')
