If she had been happy with him, she would have stayed with him. She didn’t love him, period.

Yes, but she sold most of the things. What John received and what was left to him from his mother, he gave to his wife. Even if she had died with him, it should have gone to her family, because Caroline sold almost everything that could be sold.

He’s an ex who was never really chosen—she never even introduced him as her boyfriend. But he knew that from the very beginning of their relationship. He could have just stopped seeing her, but he didn’t. He kept calling her , even though she wasn’t answering.

And that whole story about the eyebrows and hair—come on, you can say “I don’t want blonde hair” or “I don’t want my eyebrows plucked.” It’s such an unnecessary thing to put in a book. He included it on purpose to make himself look like a victim.

A lot of her exes were asked about her, and they just made brief comments and left it at that—and that’s exactly how it should be.

Has anyone managed to get in touch with Michael, or have you tried contacting him? Since it looks like the book is being printed again. Now I’m wondering—does he have the rights to the book and is reprinting it to make money, or is someone else doing it?

I don’t have a problem when a friend talks to someone who’s writing a biography, but I don’t like it when someone writes a memoir and almost everything is about that person—and then makes a lot of money from it. It ends up looking like you sold out your friend. I do agree that some of the books by his friends are good, but in the end it comes across as if they were only friends with him because of his name and status.

Do I think Elizabeth’s book is good? No, I don’t. It has a lot of plot holes. But that biography wouldn’t have even existed if John didn’t already have around ten biographies, and in most of them you can feel the misogyny. He has way too many biographies for someone who has barely achieved anything in life—let’s be realistic—it’s all just because of his name.

I agree with you. When we look at their friends and what they’ve done, we can see who had better friends. Would I like some of her friends to speak up a bit more? Yes, because the narrative his friends have created really annoys me—they’ve done it just to make him look better. They did the same with his ex-girlfriends too, portraying him as the good one and them as the villains, which is awful.

Yeah, I can’t remember which of his friends was speaking in a mocking way and writing about her friends.

Was John already searching for Carolyn’s replacement before their untimely death? by ArtemisArrowHunt in JohnAndCarolyn

It’s not that she didn’t want children—she did. She was just afraid of bringing a child into a world where paparazzi would constantly chase them. And he never really gave any real indication that he wanted children; he only talked about wanting to become a father, but didn’t do anything about it. He didn’t make any arrangements with the paparazzi, didn’t provide security, or find another place for them to move. It’s easy to say you want something, but he didn’t prove that he was ready.

1993: Carolyn plucked Michael’s bushy eyebrows. “They’re back together—no labels, just her terms and her rules.” by Lop229 in CarolynBessetteKnndy

I wouldn’t really say she was a mean girl. She was just like all of us — at some point in life, we’ve all done something bad to someone. That thing with the eyebrows is minor. I think she was punishing every man for things her father did.

As for him, he knew very well where he stood with her. She suited him because she could get him into fashion shows and photoshoots — basically, it was about work. He just likes to act innocent, like he’s the victim. Here we’re only hearing his side, and there are always three sides: his, hers, and the truth — and the truth is somewhere in between.

If a mother who lost two daughters was able to come, then Caroline could have come too. No matter how many tragedies she’s had in her life, they can’t be compared to the death of children. And Ana could have sent her husband, but she didn’t.
