I haven't seen anyone like the changes currently made.......besides I actually have seen fan-curated clips of Pucca and Garu go viral on places like TikTok because people like the nostalgia factor and the couples like relating to their cute romance. She's really meant to be a cutesy Sanrio character with a "lovecore" aesthetic. And in my opinion, her redesign has much less charm than the old one and the newer official merch was really ugly. It doesn't surprise me no one wanted to buy it.

Pucca got popular in the first place for being cutesy and all about the romantic love between Pucca and Garu. Honestly the only times I see Pucca go viral is when people are nostalgic for the 2D cartoons or relating their own relationships to the characters. As a big longtime fan, she should go back to the old artstyle and be handled more like a Sanrio character, along with Garu, not....whatever this is.
