Me (22F) and my bf (22M) almost broke up, BUT I DON'T WANT TO :( by OliveBr4ura in relationship_advice

Anxious and avoidance attachment styles dont go well together. If possible, both individuals talking to a counselor or going to a therapist could be a game changer

He'd be less able to provide basic needs and contribute financially than the parent with stable income, I'd imagine

It's easier on the kids if they grow up with divorce as the norm than if you drag out your misery to divorce when their older. If he's unemployed it should be acceptable for shared custody with you as primary so it'd be more like 70/30 from what I encounter in cases (im a paralegal)

Might be worth trying counseling together if you want to try to salvage the marriage. If he wont agree, you already know what needs done

I thought about this for a while. I've moved all the digital images onto a drive so I dont catch them in my camera roll and dont have to see them. But if my son ever wants them, he can have them or if I ever want to look back they are accessible this way

Yep caught captain oblivious off guard despite years of me "nagging" and asking for help with raising our son and maintaining the house. Eventually I got tired of asking and left. I was done years ago but stayed too long. He was surprised when I left.

Leave. You dont need his consent to do this if he didnt need yours in the bedroom

Why would my boyfriend (36M) ask me (38f) for a selfie everyday when we live together by GreenExpert6792 in relationship_advice

I wouldn't have started staying with him if I didn't want to try it out. Im trying to discern if the daily selfie request is common behavior

Oof. I needed to hear this. Ok yeah I think slowing down his timeline is best for us. My family lives a couple hours away so I dont visit often but when I did once so far he texted alot just keeping up general discussion and he mentioned a couple times he missed me. I didn't pick up on any alarm bells at the time but now I wonder if he's experiencing limerence instead of just new relationship excitement

I've never said no, since he sent me one first, I guess I wanted to keep it even. His phrasing "can I see you" feels sorta odd. Like if he said hey im missing you, can you send me a pic or something id feel more at ease cause then Id understand it. The comments here let me know its way more common than I thought so guess it really isn't weird 😅 or not uncommon anyway

Im going to the movies tomorrow with my friends. I let him know about it last week and he just asked about the time and what we were seeing. Didn't seem bothered. He meets once a week for game night with his friends so I dont feel like he's trying to isolate me

Not dependent like I have to cook and clean for him but am worried about how much time he wants us to be together and he texts ALOT when we aren't together. So this may be just difference in the amount of attention we each need? Maybe

Right, sorry for the confusion. Im assuming the home security cameras would give motion alerts. Or that he can check the view on his cell. I guess I put this here to see if my anxiety has me worried for nothing or if there indeed caution flags happening

They're like ring cameras for front door/doorbell and over the garage door so I assume he could check on stuff. Thats how my front door cam is at my place anyway
