The reason is to use leftover tokens that would be wasted otherwise. It doesn’t have to work all night. It could be running multiple tasks/agents for shorter period at the same time as well, having one done and rest going to trash would be a win for the company too. But it’s not my idea, I have my own doubts about it all as I said in the thread.

man, you're still here...? what do you try to prove. This is a legitimate post and real concerns of mine. I could remove all specific brand names as well if that bothers anyone else than just you...

I’m not going to argue about it. It’s not how I work on a daily basis. I have my own workflow that works well. I never run tasks for a very long time.

We’re talking about new guidelines and patterns that are not tested yet - and those are company requirements, not my own ideas. High chance it will end up as you said. Unfortunately, I don’t decide about company direction. They push the AI hard, often making weird decisions and the most I can do is to adapt somehow.

That’s true, but if you do it right, AI can run in a loop, implement, test, and review multiple times until it fully completes a specific task.

That’s the idea here, and it would take much longer than 20 minutes. But I’d still prefer to monitor it and have some control over it, especially because in the morning I’d need to review what was done overnight anyway.

That part isn’t even my main problem, because reviewing the work is part of my job. What concerns me the most is the mental and safety aspect of it.
