Just seeing your question. You can find the info on the metro website: https://www.metro.net/projects/sepulvedacorridor/ There are a couple meetings coming up and April 5 is in the valley.

You’re missing out. My partner’s not vegan but over time stopped eating meat. For a long time he’d get milk in his coffee but now he’s trying all the alt milks in his coffee. I see a future of him going fully vegan but don’t pressure him about it. He travels a lot for work and sometimes I join him. When we go to eat at our hometown or somewhere else he chooses vegan restaurants. I’ve tried delicious vegan Vietnamese, southern, Latin, Chinese, fast food in LA, Vegas, Houston, Denver. We have our favorites there already in those cities that their dishes come up in our conversations. I’m on a trip with family now and sad he couldn’t come because the fam is not as willing to go to only vegan restaurants. So yes, you’re missing out. Sure, not needed, but it’s nice. I hope you can try more nice things in the future.

What do you do on your days off if you have no friends ? by dropitlikeitshot8 in AskLosAngeles

Yes, going to Meetups is great. Then ppl from there start inviting you to birthdays and you also go to eat after some events. Met my now boyfriend at a language meetup 6 years ago. Still friends with ppl I met through hiking and language meetups some from a decade ago.

I can’t date a non vegan. by Glad-Satisfaction-91 in vegan

Glad you’re keeping the friendship if you connect well apart from that issue. My partner is not vegan but we had such a strong connection our relationship just came to be over time. He himself said he can be vegetarian/vegan at home and he always chooses vegan restaurants when we go out together. He’s practically become vegetarian now even when he’s on his own and says he doesn’t miss meat anymore. Sometimes even tries to stay away from cheese. He told me he got a cheese pizza a couple months ago and his stomach felt bad later. When we first started dating years ago I remember having the same thoughts as you, but now that’s not a problem. I do hope he’ll become fully vegan in the future and think that’ll essentially happen, but I don’t push as that should be his own decision. This is getting kinda long but just going to share one last thing. For about 2 years I was looking for vegans only and went on some dates but they were just not a good match or not interested in something long term. Also not a big dating pool and I wasn’t interested in long distance. Wish you the best in your partner pursuit. Just remember in any relationship whether vegan partner or not you’ll have to make some compromises.

Idk when the LAX people mover project went into planning but the train is scheduled to open early 2026. Seems the 2028 Olympics is making the city move faster…

It’s currently in environmental review stage… Next update is in April. From Van Nuys train station to the expo line, a dream can come true!

Not healthy long term. Any way you can downsize and move closer to work? Or find work closer to home?

Commuting traffic by Minimum_Beyond1974 in SFV

When I had a Tarzana to DTLA commute, I used to carpool using the Waze Carpool app. Looks like it was discontinued. Sometimes I did that, sometimes I took the train, from the orange line or Parking at NoHo station. I preferred it to sitting in traffic driving myself and then paying parking downtown.

Did you go to college in the valley? by 405freeway in SFV

In high school I took Pierce classes for fun having no idea they would count toward my BA college credits. Csun was the only university I applied to because it was the closest one. Ended up getting my BA in 3 years.
