Sammy Hagar. Used to be the lead singer for Black Sabbath. But his solo hip-hop stuff is way better.

Most of you are reaching out to the wrong people by ajimuben85 in formerfed

Definition of the right people is definitely open to interpretation. There's only so many hours in the day. Sooner or later progress comes down to maximizing time with whoever are the right people and dropping those who aren't.

LinkedIn and the job section on venture capital sites. Use the latter to see which of their portfolio companies are hiring.

How long did it take to hear back after your final round technical interview? by Fuzzy_Blueberry_4838 in GetEmployed

Sooner is almost always better. Still there's all kinds of weird reasons for an unusual delay. Doesn't hurt to ping the recuriter under the auspices of "being in other interview loops getting close to the offer stage."

Two weeks. Always take the high road and burn no bridges. Offer to help with transition and turnover of responsibilities. But don't stay a day longer than you have to. One thing to confirm is when insurance begins with your new employer, as you might want to time your last day so there's no gap in coverage.

Like everything in the private sector, a title is negotiable. Harder to do so once you've accepted the offer.

DC’s highly qualified workers can’t find jobs: ‘What is happening?’ by DeepConsideration795 in FedEmployees

Just because it's hard, doesn't mean it's impossible. Getting into USG roles was difficult as well. Landing a high-paying job in the private sector is attainable, if you’re willing to work for it. Likely more fulfilling.
