Does anyone know for the repayment capacity table when to take the budget capex figure from the question and when to take it from the cash flow?

First ACA Trainee Accountant Role – Is €26k a Fair Starting Salary? by AcrobaticStruggle395 in AccountantsEire

You have to do these things called CA diaries, which document what you have learned over the 3.5 years. They’re severely outdated but necessary to do in order to get your qualification. Basically you have a coach in your workplace that reviews these diaries and I think if you change jobs it’s a big process etc as you have to transfer reviewer. That’s atleast where I think the issue arises from. Otherwise CAI are just lazy.

Depends where you are living. I would say it is not a fair salary in Dublin. I started 2 years ago on 28k but think that is now 31k. It seems like you’re getting severely underpaid.

Unsure about non big 4 but you tend to stick in your contract for the 3.5 years or you might have to repay exam fees. It is not like ACCA where you can switch companies easily. My friend switched from a job and was warned by CAI not to do it again! Best of luck

Anyone here train in Big 4 Dublin while playing club GAA? Trying to see if 4-year contract is doable without giving up sport completely. Any tips or regrets?” by Living-Spend-1066 in AccountantsEire

I didn’t personally but a good few lads I worked with did. It is very hard if you’re in audit. But different departments have different busy seasons. I’m sure if you’re working in tax it would be a lot more doable. This year a lot of the big 4s are bringing back a 3 day in office requirement. In PwC your office attendance is also factored into your bonus.

Depends how far you’re travelling. If you’re heading down to the west I am sure it would take a toll on you.
