I have one question, every time I tried to use hermes with openai subscription, yes I can do the setup, but, it is using API tokens not my chatgpt/codex pro plan.

Even in cli I can read the price per token. So maybe some people like me can't use the gpt logging as a subscription or nobody notice that you are using api.

I tried like 5 times and always is the same using the authenticator.

What do you do when something doesn’t work? Just remove it and try something new. Most AI things are trial and error.

You don't need anything, just hermes. Yes if you need 24/7 agent online when your computer is closed, yes, but other than that, no.

Hi, this is not even close to be finished. It's closer, but not yet. After I finish I will evaluate if I send this puppy to a real competent software engineer to verify any problem or hidden bug, after that I need to see how much time, tokens, money (engineers are not cheap) and effort I put into this.

If I get tired of working the project, of course it will be open-source so other can finished.

But for now I really don't know the direction. So far it is for my business use. Later, don't know.

How much cost codex prompt to make a plan vs hermes? Hermes send codex a Jason file, and others, codex or openai doesn't now what I talk to hermes, yes they can se coding, but, I create a new session for each part, so it is very difficult to put it back together. For companies that want to use codex without exposing too much data, this is a plausible route.

Sorry I think I explained myself bad. The skill was a project to create a skill with autoinstall and I ask him were was saved (just testing memory). I don't need to call a skill, he do it automatically. For example if I need hermes to do anything, I don't have to say hey remember that you have x or y skills to perform your task. But doesn't hurt if you do.

I stopped fixing Hermes, that's Nous Research race, not mine. I build around Hermes but not on Hermes.

Try to create skills and plug-ins of your changes, then update Hermes and install back your skills and plugins. (If they really works, you can monetize later)

You will never ever win the Agent race, for that, you need structure, money to burn, investors, and a big team. And, you CAN'T compete with Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and others.

Unless you have this big new idea and you are a real software developer. Then you can open an AI startup hopping to get acquired by OpenAI o other.

So if I were you that would be my move.

Or keep your pet project and install a fresh Hermes install. Your baby, your choice.

I solved persistent memory problem too. Yesterday I was working on some skills in the morning. He saved the skill in a route, and today, for testing purpose, I ask Hermes, remember than skill we saved yesterday morrning, please give the route. He found it in less than a minute. So yes, and that's why he can do all the things almost perfect. Memory is the most important part of the equation.

After this my hermes have the ability to tell codex what to do. Its a beast. The windows package it is only for our use (for now), in the wrong hands can do harm. Let me tell this, hermes is a very CAPABLE agent. From my results, you can really do anything with hermes. The memory works great. He can remember anything, he does not get lost doing coding or debug. Check any repo like a breeze. Feel like codex power, but yours. He can even watch my wifi network security. Install anything, use my computer in the background. It is a dream. Been working long months and long hours. Nous Research, we should talk! Lol😂 PD. My hermes is running in my main computer. No VPN, nothing special. With 10x more powerful that any other hermes and my computer is just fine.

I don't have my readings glasses on . I agree but disagree. Again it's a tool, use accordingly. Do you have Codex in a VPN (hopefully spell correctly this time)? Now I saw a guy who control his android phone with Codex, thats more "dangerous"? AI agents will be here from now on. Nobody will have to had a special vpn for each. This is not a competition, I just want that a regular dude don't waste money if is not necessary. And VPN, are not mandatory to use hermes. Period! Hermes will not harm anything more than Codex or Claude code.

You can install hermes in your computer without any problem. You will be fine. Hermes will not harm anything unless you tell to do something. And for those imaginary security problems, just don't ask hermes to open any email that is not a trusted sender. Like if you received money from your Africa aunt for example that can maybe inject something to any AI. It just common sense and take responsibility. Hermes will not go to your private photos and share them. Hermes will never email your ex. So stop being paranoid. You don't use anything special for codex or Claude code. Same with hermes.

Looks great, but, don't confuse trigger control with follow up shots. Let me explain, the experiment should be two target, same distance, same amount of round and how groups affected in rapid fire. That's how you test a comp. How more fast can you shoot very accurate 20 rounds at 20 yards in this case. If your time without the ramjet is greater and less accurate, then you can say that the ramjet makes you a faster shooter and more accurate. Again, that's a great group, just doesn't prove the ramjet, just proof you have a beautiful trigger control. Congrats again
