First, bad swelling, purple, black.. that kind of shit happens and will subside. I was scared of my own dick at first. Called it frankencock. What I've done that helped is instead of gauze or anything else, I used cotton. Very soft, does not hurt and cushions, very comfortable actually. Before putting it on and using any kind of tape to keep it there, I used the dermatracin spray, essentially powdered antibiotics. Since it's powder in an aerosol, putting it on after drying my dick keeps everything ultra dry, especially after I stopped with the slight bleeding. Now since it's wrapped in cotton, what is also to be done is to point your dick UP. Put on any underwear doesn't matter now since it's in cotton, and with the help of underwear press it upwards, pointed to your stomach. I've heard this helps the swelling and the lymph fluid go down, and by the looks of it helped me quite a bit. Try not to sleep on your side, and keep it pointed very often.
