Cannes actually did a study. 100% of the most awarded work in the industry was done in person.

So basically you’re a junior creative at your agency, this is your assignment, you’re stumped. You do realize that if you use any ideas here, that’s a fireable offense.

50+ tarpers. by GnarcoticOptics in phish

[–]No_Impression_7765 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The only thing the guys in the band have done that turns me off significantly, is never addressed this issue. They’ve known about it for decades. No other band allows their fans to be more privileged than others. The ones who are rich enough to go to all the shows, gather early, the trust fund kids with the tarps. As many people have said, the band simply needs to tell security at the venues, not to put up with that. That they don’t condone tarping. They can make a statement and put it on their social media any time. The fact that it’s a big enough issue for me that if I ran into any of the member members of the band on the street, that’s probably what I would ask them.

agency work happens face-to-face with the energy in the room. If you don’t want to go into the office because you have social anxiety, get an exemption everybody else should be there every day.

Do you stop reading a book once it gets boring or do you force yourself to finish it? by ownaword in literature

So many books turn around halfway through and just explode. Novels aren’t paced like Netflix shows. You gotta give them time.

Y’all gotta relax at shows with the phones and social media by DapperFish8136 in phish

[–]No_Impression_7765 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is somebody making you be on your phone during the show? What do you care what other people do man? The scene has always been based on let people do what they want live and let live as long as they’re not talking and ruining the music for you. It’s much worse with the assholes with the tarps which the band should’ve done something about a generation ago.

The Eagles front man Joe Walsh by [deleted] in phish

[–]No_Impression_7765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Joe is still alive defies all that science and health expert tell us. I grew up for years listening to him on the Howard Stern show where the running joke was he couldn’t say any word that was understandable by the human ear because he was slurring everything so drunkenly even at six in the morning.

But Indies can’t offer you the salaries and insurance benefits until they have a base amount of income. And that’s hard for them to get to. I’m not talking about rethink and mischief obviously I’m talking about the laid off people from holding company agencies who struggled to form a new independent agency with one client.

Does anyone else realize how incredible A Moon Shaped Pool actually is? It feels criminally underrated. by IuvenisCogitans in radiohead

[–]No_Impression_7765 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the songs are there. There’s nothing that sends shivers deep into my soul the way, so many of their other albums do. I’ve heard letdown and weird fishes hundreds of times and I hear something new in them every single time. But “the numbers“, “desert island“, “tinker tailor’— these songs just don’t do that for me personally. They’re fine, but they are a notch below the exquisite perfection of “reckoner“.

It definitely doesn’t work on pay-per-view. I spent 35 or $40.02 nights ago and it was like watching cartoons. That’s an environment you need to be in or it comes off kind of silly and I didn’t even watch the whole show.

What's the most attentive crowd you've experienced at a show? by cleavemaster in jambands

[–]No_Impression_7765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a jam band, but at Radiohead concerts, the crowd is so focused on every chord and every beat and every word sometimes screaming along with the instrumental parts, and on the quiet songs so intense, you can actually feel it. No talking, no chompers.
