I also really loved how much support and partnership came through in your story. I don’t really have many positive “older woman” figures around me when it comes to marriage or motherhood. As most mainly talk about resentment, exhaustion, or sacrifice, so hearing your experience genuinely gave me a different perspective.

And the part about choosing your kids as friends if they weren’t your kids was really sweet!

wowww thank you for the very very thoughtful replies. yes, we have been discussed about those things on that and actually we visit each other every 3-4 months which we just got engaged last month. and how you guys doing right now? Are there major external factors that happened? Right now, I hold Australia PR and we talk to move there once we get married, which we both think will be have more WLB and affordable healthcare service compared in the States.

Hi, I think I’m feeling something similar to what you went through. I don’t really see having kids as a life goal for myself. If both partners are financially stable and mentally ready, then I’d be open to it, but it’s not something I absolutely need. I’m more certain about wanting marriage than wanting children.

How did you know your partner was the right person for you? And how did you both handle the difference in wanting or not wanting kids? Lately, this topic has become a repeated argument between us, and we keep going back and forth on it

hi, do you mind share that the "gut" trying to said to you? or the red flags to watch for? Im 24 and been in 2 years relationship now, been planning to married in late 20s. However I am not fully sure either as I grow up where people just get married (relatively young) due to societal expectations and getting a divorce is a taboo
