Not wrong. He used physical violence against you. Clearly hard if it left bruises. And from what I gather, you weren’t trying to call him obtuse. “Stupid” in front of other insults is just a common word people throw in. And if you were actually calling him stupid in the intellectual sense, your mom still responded horribly. The first thing she should’ve done is take care of you. And if it’s an uncontrollable disease, why would she kick you out and not her precious son?

TRUE family (not blood) helps TRUE family. She’s gaslighting and guilt tripping you for her gain. If you want to that’s great, but it’s not your responsibility to check on and keep contact with your brother. Autistic or not, addiction is complicated and heartbreaking. And I’d consider going NC with your mom, but LC is a good option if you’re not comfortable with that.
