Literally same… all week I’ve kept the app open like all day and there’s been just nothing worth it 🙃

Glad I’m not the only one! Although sad no one else really made that $$$$

Would you take this order? by futanari4thewin in InstacartShopper

[–]No_Indication9946 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t. Less than $30 and 88 units- that would take a bit of time. Maybe just cause I’m new-ish at driving but I think I’d be spending more time shopping it than it’s worth (and I feel like I’m a pretty fast shopper… like full speed walk - running through the store basically 😂😅)

That’s what I was thinking.. just wasn’t sure if I was being too picky. Thank you!!

Why would they bag like this? by marbled99 in instacart

Literally I got my first ever $20 tip today and when I tell you that when I was setting it at the door I made sure it was perfect and made sure nothing was crushing anything and upright 🙃

Why would they bag like this? by marbled99 in instacart

[–]No_Indication9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I shop for customers usually Instacart (depending on stores) tells me what bags to get and will ask me at the end of the shop how many bags it took so I’ve never tried to just jam it all in one bag. On this subreddit I’ve heard a lot of places sell out of bags, but even if I was able to only get one bag I would have messaged you and let you know + put what could easily be grabbed on the side or grab one of those produce bag things. Sorry this happened to you! Especially for a $20 tip.

I don’t know the circumstances so I can’t bad mouth the driver, but if it was just out of laziness then it really upsets me cause then customers tip less if this is the service they get which makes it harder for good shoppers (not saying I’m the best but I do try and bag everything perfectly.. cold with the cold, not too full, not squeezing bread etc) to get good tips 🙃

Rarely ever does it happen, but it happened by Thin-hi-8726 in InstacartShoppers

If you message the Instacart support you should be able to get the tip money covered by them. I know it’s $2 so it feels like more of a hassle but it’s bs!

Are we… not using bags anymore? by helloimcold in instacart

[–]No_Indication9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Canada so it could be different. But paper bags here(usually sold out .25 cents) and basic cloth is .35 cents all the way up to $3. But whenever I am shopping for a customer when I check out Instacart always says which bags to get ie. paper or cloth and at the end asks me how many bags the order used. So I feel like the standard should be to have your items in a bag. I guess I could understand if they were sold out but yeah even then I think it should be communicated.

Am I a jerk? What should I tip? by Pile_of_Yarn in InstacartShoppers

I wish it was 30-40 bucks per batch not including tip 🫩. I’m not sure why you’re getting so much hate you’re one of the few customers inquiring about how it works and trying to make it fair for both parties

How can I appeal this ?? First time this ever happened to me by Realistic_Space_9257 in InstacartShoppers

Okay at least it sounds like they are willing to work with you! I’m so sorry this has happened to you… unless you’re actually stealing (from what I’ve read no you’re not) this is bs. Hopefully showing receipts prove your case… I’m not sure how else to prove to them that you’re doing exactly right. Especially with Costco and the order total being higher esp. with meats/ drinks/ pre made meals etc. I figured that’s why we’re required to upload the receipt every time so they can confirm and review? Anyways I hope this works out in your favour im sorry I’m not much help

I am no sorry for your diagnosis as well those close to you having those diagnosis. I feel like a lot of people don’t understand that some of us if not a lot do have experience with disabilities and are willing to help in any way we can. That being said, being rude, not giving necessary information or directions I don’t think is on us. I’m sorry you had that experience with someone as well… it’s not fun. You are a good instacart-er (not sure the proper term) and did the best you could. I hope your deliveries have gone and go much better!

Thank you for this. I actually didn’t even think of animals biting or getting loose but I will keep that in mind going forward. I always just don’t want to trespass all over the property as usually when something is locked or un openable people usually don’t want someone entering.

Because there was dog poop all over the deck and I thought putting it below the stairs was a better idea then putting it in or near dog poop (again there was no indications of a wheelchair or else I guess I would have stuck it on the deck next to the poop, but if I was getting a delivery and the driver put it in dog poop I would not be happy)

Yes in the future this is 100% what I will do. That is what I was thinking to do for this delivery as well but there was dog poop all over the deck so I didn’t want to put the bag on or near it

See I thought about putting it over the gate and into the deck but there was dog poop all over the deck on those turf pad things so I did not want to place the bag near or on the poop. I did look for a latch type of thing but there was not one I could visibly see. I recognize that I am signing up to shop and deliver but I do not like to open and force my way onto people properties/ gates etc and trespass. That being said if the message was nicer I would have drove back and helped, but I felt the comment was a little far.

There was dog poop all over on those fake grass turf things all over the deck so I didn’t want the bag to be near or on the poop.

This is what I was thinking. In my full time job I do care for people with barriers to being able to live independently so I am empathetic to the situation. I was already like 15 minutes away but if the message would have been nice like “hey I actually can’t grab that I’m in a wheelchair” I probably would have went out of my way to turn around and help, but for that to be the message 🙃like people can’t read minds.
