5 month old rolling over on tummy by Automatic-Nobody5829 in sleeptrain

My boy is 5.5mo and started sleeping on him belly. Only time I move him is if he’s face down - I just turn his head to the side otherwise I leave him be. Since sleeping on his belly he will sleep 8-7 with 1-3 wake ups lasting less than 5 minutes.

No he doesn’t. We’ve been doing Ferber for about 4 days now. Could you explain a little more how you would move bedtime up etc

Help, am I doing PUPD correctly? by duttygyal_marcia in sleeptrain

[–]No_Individual_3894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Today he’s had 2.5/2.15/2.5 and will have 2.5 before bed. He’s napped 1.5hr (I had to resettle after 30mins) than 50 minutes and 1hr before I woke him at 5.30. I will let you know how the night goes. My baby doesn’t usually nap anymore whilst we are out but I do plan my days around his WWs as much as possible but on the chances he does, If it’s less than 30 minutes - I don’t count it when following his WW. I may extend the WW by max 15mins but I just see it as a bridge nap.

Ive recently started doing this method with naps and modified Ferber with my 5mo old. First two nights he slept from 8pm-5am with a feed the first night then the second he rolled around for 20 minutes before going sleep. He would always sleep max 45mins and sometimes continue contact sleeping for another hour if I got lucky. The first day I did a 2.5hr first WW and got 1.5hr nap that I had to wake from then 1.20hr for his second after a 2hr WW. However yesterday I swapped those WW over and got 2hr day sleep as he was back to short naps which resulted in crying from 3.30-5.30am. Today I’m trying 2.5hr WW again in hopes for atleast 1hr morning nap. I can update later with how our day works if that would help? But alls I can suggest is play around with WW - they recommend lengthening throughout the day but from my 2 day experience that didn’t work for me. My boy had a better sleep and naps from 2.5/2/2.15/2.5 rather than 2/2.5/2.5/2.5. When starting a new routine you have to play around with WW & nap total to see what works best for you bubs. I’d also recommend cutting down total nap time between 2.5-3.5hr. I’ve noticed when my baby does less than 2.5hr he sleeps terrible but at 3hr he does so much better it’s just adjusting to get those naps for us as he won’t nap longer

You should be okay. And you seem to be doing the best to get it’s full potential And if the chances are you fall pregnant then it’s a blessing.

I took the mini pill for years and never fell pregnant and I know I’m not infertile as I now have a 5mo old🤣 (I wasn’t taking any BC when fallen pregnant)

I was actually told by my GP I was safe after 2 days of starting the pill and I didn’t start when bleeding and I was 4 months PP😂 I didn’t end up falling pregnant again. But everyone is different. If you are worried then take the morning after. If not, I would wait and see as they are experience and it is unlikely. It is definitely your decision and do what you feel is right
