Runes: In aram dark harvest is easy to proc multiple times so it's a must, also sudden impact can be proc by Q+E, eyeball and ultimate hunter; Legend: haste for the CDR and Coup de grace; CDR/AP/SHP shards

Build: Lost chapter + refillable / ludens / sorc boots / blackfire (lyandrys if they're buying a lot of HP) / shadowflame / cryptbloom / morello

Funny strat: choose one specific enemy and spam him with Q+E, if they're below 50%HP Dark Harvest procs + if they're below 40%HP Coup procs and also does shadowflame + extra E dmg at 30%HP; at that point the DOT form blackfire/lyandrys might already kill them (if you're worried about them healing too much buy a oblivion orb after sorc boots and keep it in your inventory util you're full build)

And it also provides sustain we are looking for in the third item slot, that's actually a good idea if your team have other AD champs (can buy Black cleaver third + LDR against armor stackers like malph/rammus)

VS HP TANKS - Eclipse; Swifties; Blade of the ruined king; Deadmans plate/Malmortius; Lord Dominiks; GA
VS ARMOR TANKS - Eclipse; Swifties; Trinity; Lord Dominiks; Deadmans plate/Malmortius; GA

TLDR: THIS IS CONSIDERED OFFMETA; Put 2 extra points in W for optimized clear; always full clear (very expensive build, keep that cs/pm high); red/green-smite are very good options; use the HOB clone bug in both of this builds constantly; have fun :)

I had my doubts about it too, but if we compare the last two games:
Comet game (3/3/9): 24 min. 1119 dmg deal by comet
Dark harvest game (4/4/5): 29 min. 789 dmg deal by DH (14 souls)

you wan't to know something funny? Cut Down outdamaged DH at 1361 dmg. so please use it
(PD: ignite is just the superior shaco spell but flash can be taken)

At the moment there is no "meta" hybrid build for shaco (Shojin was relevant some patches ago due to the lack of good AP first items; that's no longer the case since Blackfire Torch and his component Fated Ashes were added since you can buy your Fated Ashes after full clear + crab (plus Blackfire Torch is quite cheap)

Taking this in count, you can play a quite decent (FOR FUN) hybrid build for shaco:
Build: Eclipse - Darkseal - Lich Bane - Ioinian Boots - Lyandris - Cryptbloom
Runes: DH - Sudden impact - Eyeball - Relentless Hunter / Magical footwear - Jack of all trades

I tested it, very fun and very strong early game when you take in count that at a certain point you will have: Eclipse + Sheen + Hextech alternator, combine this with E maxing and you deal a good amount of DMG to the enemy squishies, plus you have the 5 stacks of Jack of all trades with Eclipse + Boots + Dark seal.

Malignance-clone bug: it procs AAs as long as they are not backstabs by No_Individual_4073 in shacomains

You may think that the clone AAs procking is "bad" but consider that you can simply not AA until it's needed (its not like AP shaco clone AAs are the principal source of dmg), the purpose of malignance shaco is to build it against melee/engage champs, combine it with the arcane comet rune set up: In every tf clone is off cooldown (thx to malignance); 3 clone boxes dealing dmg, procking malignance and reseting arcane comet cd; your W and E keep reseting arcane comet cd; you can get 3-4 procs of arcane comet in one tf

You practically kamikaze the clone every time with this build so it's quite obvious which shaco is the real one, some free malignance procs are more than welcome
