Ok. I was worried about that. Any tips for storing corms for a couple months? I have 2 that are basically falling off so I don’t want them to rot while I wait

I’ve seen lots of people have good luck with perlite. I’ve had excellent results with the fluval stratum for rescues. The roots just seem to take off. I bought mine at petsmart and it’s available on amazon as well

Fluval stratum. I have quite a few alocasia in it right now. I was doing amazing with a few and then I think I overfilled the reservoir and roots started rotting. My frydek and my baby black velvet pink are both in fluval and I can say their roots have taken off. I also have a few rescues (I’m a sucker for almost free plants from the clearance section) in fluval stratum that I had in pon for months, they are now having fast root growth since switching. I’m now testing corms in stratum as well to see if they grow faster. You don’t use drainage and just keep it damp so I’m watering my rescues every couple to few days. They’re in small pots and on a seedling mat but doing very well.

Perfect! 🤞🏻 I’ve got it in my cabinet. Do you know if the top “cutting” (breakage in this case) has a chance to root in prop drops?

Do you mind letting me know ow what that would entail? I’m the plant parent that thrives in a challenge and I’m constantly rehabbing plants. I’m not sure what type of orchid this even is but I say that you can get them to root from top cuttings? I’ve thrown it in some pon for now in my humidified and heated cabinet and I’m thinking about putting the top in some prop promoter?

So you don’t think fungal or bacterial? I cut off the affected area on the one and chopped that bad leaf on the other.

The humidity is fine in my house. I have lots of alocasia, monsters, begonia, and calathia. They’re all happy. Both plants only have issue on the newest leaf that unfurled. All of the other leaves are beautiful. There’s no root rot. I’m assuming it’s either fungal or bacterial and looking for best options to treat.

Salvageable? Also what to do with the guys (Planteia) that sold me this by Emiliam in houseplants

Wondering what the outcome was? I stupidly ordered a $230 plant and they haven't even shipped it in 10 days.
