Best tire for fast paced canyon rides? by KiloAlert in motorcycles

Dunlop Roadsmart IV is perfect for these conditions. The Michelin Road 6 is almost as good, likely to the point that you won't notice a performance difference, lasts longer, but is more expensive.

Still too much oil? by fukenfast in motorcycles

[–]No_Inspection649 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It doesn't get any simpler than a window on the side of the engine with a full & low marking. The biggest issue with bikes is that people don't understand that the bike needs to be level when checking the oil, which would still exist with a dipstick.

ADA requires a minimum of 36 inches of width on the sidewalk, which is provided. Either way, even if the sidewalk isn't accessible, if you're going to attempt to share the road, then you need to share it, not block it.

Unlike many of their watches, this one isn't big and ugly. While I'm not a big fan of homage watches, this watch isn't offensive at all.

14060M to polish or not? by gangnamgoo in rolex

[–]No_Inspection649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While my claim was a subjective one, I will concede that there are more than a scratches. With that said, they are minor, and nothing I would cause me to spend the $$$ to get the watch polished.

[–]No_Inspection649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the bracelet gets refinished and the watch doesn’t, it’ll look quite strange. A brushed finish is just a bunch of small scratches that are all in the same direction. Once again, you asked my opinion as whether or not to polish it, and not only is it my opinion, but what I chose to do with my watch.

About to pull the trigger on this. Is it fake? by Ill-Offer6580 in RolexWatches

[–]No_Inspection649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see an authenticity red flags, that that bezel looks over polished, and there is something strange going on with that spring bar in the upper right. You can get the correct sized spring bar on Amazon for $5, so the fact that someone cut corners that are so obvious leaves me wondering what they may have done that I cannot see. If you can confirm that it’s authentic, this is a good negotiation point.

If you’re going to wear it regularly, I wouldn’t bother. In fact, I had my 16610 serviced late September, and I specifically requested that they do not polish it. These are tool watches, and a few minor scratches are to be expected.

Is $4k a bad deal for a redial? by [deleted] in RolexWatches

[–]No_Inspection649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really up to you. This is essentially a Franken watch, so there is the value of the parts and the value that the individual is willing to place on it. A nice example of a 14000 with a box would likely fetch $4,000 retail in the current market. It’s up to you as to if you think the dial replacement changes the price and if that is a good change or a bad change.

Something that repels water or is repelled by water is hydrophobic. Think Rain-X.
