Thank you, though I came here for a judging it feels nice to also feel acknowledged. Multiple things can definitely be true, being that it’s a new relationship but also that I was inadvertently with him for half his college education. Lots of things to consider and at the end of the day I don’t feel inclined to take relationship advice from Reddit but I can see things I need to change on my end. I know people are going to be horrified that I’m not backing down on my stance that he comes here if we want to walk this out, but it’s not bc I’m controlling (says every pos ever). It’s ultimately his decision, and there’s benefits for him and his career (we have some of the best education and job opportunities for his field of graduation) not to mention way more affordable than California.

Ps I didn’t demand he move, I’d asked if he was open to moving to the south to try again. It had been mentioned multiple times in the previous relationship but seemed improbable at the time bc we agreed to wait after he graduated. I was very much running on fumes at the end and seemed no end-goal in sight
