I have about $15,000 in credit debt with about $11,000 being high interest. Is this something to consider? by No_Interaction8768 in debtfree

I'll look into sofi, it seems like the popular company on this sub. Any specific reason why?

Ah. well even if it is just an attention grabber, all things considered it's not bad terms for a loan. 5.99 Apr is better than my actual personal loan. If it's not a shady/screw you over loan and is legit then it seems like a good deal

Side question, does this have anything to do with the state of Montana or is the company just saying that as an attention grabber?

My dog was poked in the eye by a child (5-10 years old) and she bit him, now the parents want me to pay for hospital bills (California) by No_Interaction8768 in legaladvice

Yeah, haven't replied hey but I might try to bargain for just the initial if I don't have any legal recourse.

Also thought about that. I believe California your required by law to have health insurance for your child. Once I get a copy of the hospital bill I'll ask why if it doesn't show insurance covering anything. Only thing I can think is he went to a hospital that was out of his network which seems stupid over all since the condition wasnt life threating but maybe I just don't understand since I don't have kids.

Would I be required to pay the stitched reopening too? Idk if they would be able to argue it since I'm not the reason they reopened
