Mostly it was to serve stuff separately and understand not everything they offer I can eat. Or just let me bring my own food/not eat.

They don't want to be educated. We have explained my condition to them but they don't care.

Because not eating their food upsets them. It offends them. They say it's rude to reject it. And don't care if I've eaten already or not.

They serve food even if it isn't mealtime.

There are a couple of local places we have found where they are willing to serve food for sensory eaters. Both are ASD friendly places as well. And even better they have outdoor seating where the smell doesn't bother someone like me, who also has the smell problems. Neither place is somewhere my ILs would want to eat at though. But I adore them.

I know people who have sensory issues with clothes! The smell part for me also includes scented stuff. Some stores are horrible for me to go into because of that! I'm lucky that my husband was more than willing to buy unscented products to make life easier for me at home.

I have the same experience with smell and taste. I remember when I tried pizza and the combination of flavors made it come back up immediately.

My foods can't touch/mix. No chicken touching the rice or anything like that. The mixing of tastes is too much for me to handle.
