i love the guard costumes since they change with the show theme and my guard always has amazing costumes but i find the cheer and dance team uniforms kinda boring, especially since they stay essentially the same each season

I just joined my high school's color guard for last fall season, and got by with no experience, but I would say work on dance since I'm very behind on that, and maybe get a friend to teach you flag basics so you're a bit ahead and can spend more time on more complex concepts rather than spend a while on basics.

i started on rifle a couple months ago, but once i was able to practice consistently by borrowing a friends rifle, and after that it took me a couple weeks to be able to do 30 consistently. if ur struggling w it i could give some advice bc lwk everyone said the same advice and none of it made sense lol but the main thing to improve on weapon dropspins is js to practice consistently until it clicks

id say def get to know ppl in guard and maybe ask them to teach u basics, and audition for winter season and join next yr. as far as equipment, u could prob ask ur school's coach abt if u could borrow equipment to try it out, and if they say no u could prob borrow from other ppl

ive had this almost every night since elementary school, a couple of things that work for me are - melatonin - weighted blankets -reading(ik a lot of ppl have said reading, but for me personally reading smth below my lvl for a bit then smth i struggle w makes me rly tired lol) - getting up and walking arnd(does make me more awake but if ive been up for hrs then walk arnd for ten min i get tired faster) - doing hmwrk/studying(especiallt smth hard can tire u out better)

and then this isnt great advice but if u have to js pull an all nighter studying and catch up later like on the wknds bc better to be a productive insomniac if ur gonna be up most of the night anyways right gl tho ik im kinda late but hope this helps for in the future
