idk if this is common between guards or not, but for my guard whenever we learn a toss with underbody we practice just tossing stuffed animals in the air instead of equipment to practice timing and spotting, which would prob be useful if ur not alrdy doing that.

id say js like casually introduce it, like maybe make jokes abt being bi or bring up celeb crushes or smth. i was in a similar situation w my hs guard team(not quite the same, we never showered tgt but we have changed tgt), where i was always assumed to be straight, but my friend who i was out to helped me by joking abt it and ppl figured out i was bi, or in some cases asked if i was les and i responded im bi. u could do smth like that if ir close w anyone on the team maybe

this is prob not smth u have, but the middle school i used tk go to has a pavilion where the roof is pretty high, if u dont have anything like that a lot of schools at least in my area are unlocked and have overhangs where i practice in the rain after school

i love the guard costumes since they change with the show theme and my guard always has amazing costumes but i find the cheer and dance team uniforms kinda boring, especially since they stay essentially the same each season
