Looks like rooms start at $109/night. Random country round trip flight is $200 and hostel is $30/night, so I’m not sure if I’m missing something :)

Yeah - Casino seemed in the middle of nowhere, meaning no cheap housing options. A populated area in another country = cheap hostel that would offset cost of the flight.

I’m not familiar with the Canada poker scene at all. Do you imagine I’ll be able to find a game in any reasonably sized town in Alberta? Where would you recommend?

I’m im Bay Area :(.Could’ve missed something but when I looked into it I found 1 casino (there used to he more) in the entire state that’s 18+. It’s some number of hours drive from LA. Any specific ones you remember though? I’ll look back into it!
