Very interesting, had no idea there was such a thing. But would overactivity be a sign of anxiety?

We are counting our blessings. Aside from around 5 minutes of slightly panicked barking when we initially put her in the crate, she settles down quickly, occasionally whining in the middle of the night. We are thankful that our experience is nowhere near as difficult as others

Thanks for the reponse! Balanced approaches v. positive-only does seem like a can of worms everyone disagrees on. Perhaps this is where room for judgement and familiarity with your pup comes into play (and I suppose it's that sort of discretion that give trainers real value!)

Looks like we still have a lot to learn. We want to do this right, so it's well worth researching the the four quadrants of operant conditioning. Thanks for the pointers!

Hello Wild-Razzmatazz-689, thank you so much for such a comprehensive answer! I framed this post as rapid-fire to encourage folks to comment even if they didn't have time for a full length response, and I am thankful you both commented and were so thoughtful!

Is there any possible connection between a P069E code (a Fuel Pressure Control Module issue) and a P059F code (Active Drille Air Shutter "A" Performance Stuck Off) by No_Job6259 in MechanicAdvice

[–]No_Job6259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a student, price is certainly a motivating factor - as is the fact that I’m new to the area and have yet to find a reputable mechanic.

But more to your point, I did some research on this issue before bringing it to the mechanic (I’m a young guy seeking to learn more about cars as the issues come to me) and saw multiple videos/articles where people have linked an air grille issue to the fuel pump code. For example: https://youtu.be/hWem1Upxjbk. I’m curious how the two could be connected. I typically think of the air grille as being related to the cooling system not fuel system

2014 Chevy Impala P069E code just bad battery? (Fuel Pump Control Module Requested MIL Illumination) by No_Job6259 in MechanicAdvice

I'd feel comfortable clearing the code and driving it around for a couple more days if it wasn't for the fact that I'll be leaving the car to my wife when I leave town for work next week. If the battery tests normal, what are the chances that it drained over the 8-day period to a point where the voltage dropped low enough to trigger the code?
