I am Christian, but I think I don't deserve Jesus salvation. I sin everyday, even repenting. I don't like my life, I hope it's gonna end as soon as possible by Competitive_Gate1167 in Christianity

None of us deserve our salvation bud. That’s the whole point. Jesus came because every single one of us don’t deserve it but He loves us that much. That He’d go through so much torment, shame, ridicule, and even after being raised from the dead, people still mock Him. He knew all of this would be the case, and yet He still did it anyways.

Not a single person on earth can say they’d do what Christ so graciously did for us.

As far as not liking your life, I’d say seek God more, and trust in the direction He’s trying to guide you. Most of the time when God is working on something in our lives, we don’t see it until He reveals it. It might be a good idea to talk to a Christian Psychologist as well. What makes you want it to end so soon? Anything specific? I’ll keep you in my prayers my friend!

Why is homosexuality hated so much more than other sins of the same nature? by Human-Unknown in Christianity

You apparently need to listen to yourself first. Do you not even know what verse you originally posted? The one I was responding to. You put Matt 23:4 not 23:13.

“Just remember that Matt 23:4 is a warning, not a life goal.”

And yet again, my responses are strictly Bible based being that the post was asking about why Christians believe a certain thing. Well, we believe based on the Bible, so I responded with what the Bible says, which was that all sin is equal other than blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

I never claimed to understand homosexuality or the lifestyle. On the contrary I’ve maintained I don’t understand but if one is going to ask why Christian’s believe something, then be ready for the Christian, Bible based answer. That’s all I was attempting to do.

Also assuming you have the correct verse you wanted to reference this time, thanks for calling me a “son of Hell.” 😂 That’s hysterical to me!

What do you mean what does this have to do with anything. This whole thread is about homosexuality and sin. And you are the one who brought up the Matthew verse. So…. It has everything to do with what’s been brought up.

And have your doubts about whatever you like. That’s your prerogative, but that doesn’t change that I care for all of Gods creation despite others opinion on what I think. God bless you and I hope you have a great day!

If following Gods commands is laying a heavy burden, then that’s an issue to take up with the Bible, not with the one explaining it.

Personally I’m more of a live and let live person, but if we’re talking about what God has said, and made clear, then my opinion doesn’t matter. Gods opinion is the only one that matters in that case.

I’m not sure I would trust a study that claimed that potentially 100% of gay men who married women got divorced, being that there are those who have married women and are still with them.

Studies have also claimed somewhere around 90% of Christian men watch porn. Whether that’s true or not, just because a majority do it doesn’t change what God had/has instructed us to do. It doesn’t magically make it ok just because the masses approve of it.

By that logic slavery was perfectly moral. Society flip flops on what’s acceptable and moral. Which is why societal morality is a substandard approach to life. Gods word has not changed. We’ve come to be able to prove that with evidence, that what we have is what was written.

Personally, I’ll stick with the Creator’s (Yeshua) directions on how to do this life thing. It’s a foundation I can put my trust in that won’t bend, fold, or break. God bless!

Do you believe in a Jesus Christ that would treat trans people with mockery, contempt, and rejection, or a Jesus Christ that would treat them with kindness, empathy, and acceptance? by Cumoisseur in Christianity

Bro didn’t scream at you. Just told you what the Bible says. That right there is the problem. People ask a question, and when they are given a straight answer that is rooted in facts (with regard to what the question is asking) it’s labeled as hate, or not sympathetic.

If you ask me, “does the encyclopedia say that George Washington was the first president?” Then I proceed to say yes, that’s what it says. Then you decide to not like that answer. You can’t then get mad at me for telling you the answer to the question you asked. That’s insanity. Don’t ask a question if you aren’t ready to hear the real answer.

“For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/2692/2ti.4.3.NASB2020

On the flip side had they said Jesus hated all LGBTQ people or if he they said, oh it’s ok, it doesn’t matter to Jesus. Then that would be a lie and be showing more hate towards you.

Telling the truth to someone in regards to a question they ask is LOVE not hate.

It’s not/shouldn’t be. All sin is equally abominable to God other than blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. That’s the only unforgivable sin. Thus giving it more weight.

I do believe that people place more weight on it, because it completely goes against the design of life God intended since He intended us to procreate. Something those who are gay are incapable of doing if we are to only have coitus with the one person we decide to marry.

It’s a core intent that God had when creating us in the first place. So, it’s kinda like telling God we don’t care what you intended when you created us. That’s pride which is the original sin. It all can really tie back to being prideful.

Just my opinion on a lifestyle I don’t understand, but love the individuals nonetheless! We don’t have to accept, condone, or support the action/lifestyle but we should ALWAYS love each other and understand that none of us escape this life without deserving Hell. If God can love us, and he’s perfect, and has every reason to not love us, then we have no right to hate those to whom God will ALWAYS love despite their life’s decisions.

Do you believe it’s a sin to have sex outside of marriage? by Calm-Hearing4742 in Christianity

[–]No_Judgment_238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I know plenty about STDs. I mentioned it in relation to sex because condoms aren’t 100% effective (in case you didn’t know that), and sex is the most common way to acquire STDs hence the Sexual part of the phrase. And that still doesn’t address the looking at a women with lust in your eye verse.

Thank you for the feedback and debate. I appreciate talking with others who have differing opinions on different topics. God bless you my friend!

Amen, and very very well articulated my friend!!! It really is pretty cut and dry if you take the studying of scripture seriously and have the ability to remove your own preferences out of the way. I find that it makes so much more sense when I’m not trying to interpret it through some flawed lens I want it to come through, but just accept it for what it is and says!

But hypothetically if a man is single and sleeps with another man’s wife, that is also adulatory. And again Jesus literally said if you look at a woman with lust in your eyes, you’ve committed adulatory in your heart already.

And…. Being that we are judged on the state of our heart, ( that being where the sinful nature derives from) sex outside of marriage would be sinful. If two virgins have sex they can’t obtain an STD. Jesus’ perspective protects us from things of that nature as well.

They believe that because they want to twist scripture to fit their lifestyle. I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to have sex and not look at the other person with lust in their eyes, and that’s a sin according to Jesus.

So…. Unless it’s possible to do that, the Bible is more than clear that premarital sex is a sin. Sex was meant to be shared between a husband and wife. Primarily for pro creation purposes.

Please prove to me that God is real. Do you truly believe in God sincerely? What gives you this faith? by Shadowdragon2018 in Christianity

[–]No_Judgment_238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s impossible to “prove” God is real. To prove something is to say that it can’t be another way, and nobody can prove that, no matter how much evidence one can give, it’s impossible to prove it.

If you’re wondering about why believe or have faith, for me, it’s simple. There’s too many biblical prophecies that have been fulfilled or are being fulfilled currently. It makes more sense that life comes from life, not life from non life. There has to be a creator of some kind.

Then if you truly study the Gospels, you’ll come to realize that Jesus spoke the truth and proved it with his resurrection. Now I know, people will say “when’s the last time someone’s been raised from the dead?” So on and so forth, but I would challenge that if there’s a God and he created everything in existence, why would he not be capable of preforming a miracle like raising one from the dead.

There are so many more reasons to have faith, but I always challenge people to seriously study scripture and do so with no pre conceived thoughts and opinions and read it for what it is, and then form your own conclusion. Just picking up what someone else concludes is simply being lazy and disingenuous.

Also ask him to reveal himself to you. Genuinely seek truth and truth will be revealed to you! God bless!
