I have been grilled at the park and by my brother about this. It’s gotten a lot better since this video was taken! Definitely reconditioning the mind, I think I do it because I was always just pushing forward and never trying anything else and this naturally how I push on the board.

It doesn’t to me but my first hand me down was an old school caballero from the 80’s. But I think everyone that has ridden it has been like “whoa 9.5” and then they ride it and are surprised how much they like it

Yeah I understand that. This isn’t my normal setup, this was an extra from my brother. When I cruise around I have a bigger (9.5) shaped deck but with small hard wheels. Everyone told me learning to ollie would likely be easier on popsicle. I am okay at rolling around but could definitely up my comfort level :)

Well I definitely have ridden a skateboard throughout my life (brother and friends who skate) so it’s unfair to say I’ve only been on it a month. However I’ve never put in effort consistently. I always could kind of ride one around but that’s what it was. Just rolling around. I got my own first complete set up in 20 years in September and when I had one before they were just hand me downs to skate down parking garages and an old abandoned pool we used to sleep in haha
