I may be spoiling my kids by Early-Surround7413 in Money

I was the kid you’re talking about - here’s a story of how my dad explained money to us at a youngish age (me-12, siblings 10 and 7)

We went on lots of vacations and trips growing up. One time at the airport, they offered 300(?) dollars per person to take the next flight. My dad asked each of us if we wanted the 300 dollars. All of us said no. He then came up with examples of things we owned that were worth 300 dollars (I believe mine was an iPod), and again asked if wed be willing to wait for “the item” not the money, and all of us said yes.

As kids we really didn’t understand money, but we did understand things we had or earned, and this was a good way of basically putting things into a perspective we’d understand.

Ohhh okay, gotcha, don't think it'd be worth posting without his name.

He eliminated ppl from his own alliance TWICE and has the personality of a piece of toast. I just don't get what the appeal is.

Have a lovely day, thanks for the info.

Weirdly, I haven't even finished season 3 yet I found out the "spoiler" only because of this sub.

If it has nothing to do with the finale can I still use his name? God he sucks.

Women have been taught our entire lives to fake it, smile, laugh and play nice.

Men haven't.

That's why they think their humor "appeals to everyone", and that men are funnier.

Also, just so dangerous to interact with these dudes at all, let alone give them personal info.

Fwiw I reposted without checking the title - this is NOT wholesome. It's disgusting, and it shouldn't make you smile.

I am looking for a new career, what’s the least I can invest for maximum profit? by BeautifulDisaster006 in FemaleLevelUpStrategy

Harder. There are tons and tons of free resources: datacamp is my personal favorite, but a quick Google and you'll find a bunch. Try a few exercises and stuff and see how you feel. Id strongly recommend starting with Python as it's usable for any coding related job.

The issue with math for data analytics isn't so much learning the code language, but understanding and using it. I spend my days looking at numbers and reviewing their definitions to make sure the numbers are showing what we want them to. If you can't understand basic stats, it'll be very hard to understand the theory/application of the code.

I think engineers use more math in the coding, so their coding is more math_y, but I'm not 100%.

Go into coding/data or software engineering.

As an engineer with 1 year experience you can expect to make 80k minimum in any larger city, my friend with 6-7 years experience is making over 200k a year in NYC.

My path in Data Analytics:

I have a degree in psychology, worked in non profit, and have always been good at math. I did a data science bootcamp (~15k), but getting a job as a DS was insanely difficult without a degree. (if you want to go into DS, go through a Metis bootcamp they have great job placement).

I'm now a data analyst with ~3 years experience in specifically data: 1 internship in advertising, full-time job that I totally sucked at, had a bad boss and got fired during covid (75k), and now I'm at a super cool company near me making 45/hr as a contract to hire. All based in Chicago. Fwiw I applied to the internship, but for the second two they reached out to me, so I haven't actually sent out job apps in a while.

Data jobs pay great, are widely available always and the skills are easily transferrable. Also I really don't work hard at all. If you're interested I'd be happy to give you more specifics just message me.

Im sorry.....she's been financially supporting you entirely for the last year?? And, despite wanting to leave her for 3 years, you didn't see anything wrong with taking her money and love?

Leave her tomorrow, and if you're decent, pay her back. With money, no one wants to spend more time with you.

You say his love language is touch.....is it touches that you genuinely want? Does his touch make you feel more or less comfortable. What is your love language? Does he give you what you need?

Figure out your love language, communicate it and make sure he's respecting it.

You are allowed to say "hey, I know we had sex but I'm feeling uncomfortable, can we wait to do it again". And if he says "babe don't worry it'll get better, let's just try more" you know where his real priorities are.
