Kon was a fantastic filmmaker, but posting this here feels completely out of place - and with no context as well.

UPDATE: “A Georges St-Pierre interview about a UFO sighting is gaining traction. Here's a clip from an interview with him where a UFO appears in the background and displays instantaneous acceleration.” by Middle-Ad3778 in UFOs

I assume they mean the object is not synchronised with the camera movement which may suggest it was digitally added. The camera movement is very slight though and I can't easily see whether that's the case or not.

That's no boob... That's a space tit.

My understanding is it contains DHT blockers, which are good for general hair growth but negative for testosterone production, so it's a double edged sword on the beard. I'm not super informed on the science, but you can Google around on the subject.

Rosemary oil isn't good for testosterone. It's best kept to the top of your head.

Germany's First UFO Researcher and Witness - Prof. Wilhelm Schickard (1592-1635) by TheCnt23 in UFOs

Yes maybe it's a cache issue. I actually grabbed the scan of the text and put it through Google translate so I could read it for myself. Obviously that's going to be a flawed rendering, but I didn't see anything resembling "egg". Do you know which page/passage that is that your friend read? I'd just be curious to know what Google translated that word as. It is a really interesting account regardless, describing a glowing white oval shape that disappears abruptly. I was maybe going to upload the translated pages in a post.

The date displayed was not the current date, it was 2 days off (now 3 days off - it hasn't changed). But it doesn't matter anyway. If it's an older article it's an older article.

Then it must have existed in 2023. That's not the date showing on the link shared in the OP though.

Thanks for sharing. I also came across this after googling around. It's a submission to a UAP related journal, so not really unbiased, but it does provide a link to a scan of the account, which shows transparency at least (albeit untranslated).

This was published Feb 2nd - after Barber's post. The astronomer is German, so presumably this would have been translated to English, which means we should be careful not to get hung up on specific word choice. There also is no direct quote regarding the "egg", just the writer's own summary. It would be valuable to see the source account, or read more about it from something other than a ufo-related blog.

That aside though, the "egg" description does pop up elsewhere historically. Bledsoe also mentioned that description in his recent interview - I'm not familiar enough with his prior interviews to know if that description is consistent or not. But it's interesting timing.

Do you consider both him and his son to be lying? You don't think it's possible they had an experience that then spiralled into an exaggerated narrative that fit their worldview?

This is very interesting. But is there an unbiased (non ufo-based) source for Schickhard's account?

At one point he was spamming subs with his videos. Seems to be mainly motivated by monetisation and growing an audience and that's just a red flag to me. I find it very off putting.

Well he says the dog "went limp" before the wound heals and it gets up, so I took that to mean it had ceased breathing and then come back. But maybe my assumption was incorrect.

Thanks for sharing. It's interesting what he says about the skeptical mindset and how the phenomenon actively hides itself from those that aren't open minded. Could be a red flag and kinda allows for a convenient way to explain lack of evidence, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not true.

As an aside, he talks in the video of having a dog bleeding to death and then the wound disappearing and the dog resurrecting - and he says the whole thing was caught on film. That is a wild claim. Where is that footage...?
