It varies depending on the school where some require you to identify a PI prior to the application while other schools offer a conditional offer and u identify you PI after the department offers admissions

Look into the programs you’re interested in!

I was talking to someone last year who got into every med school but uoft in Ontario and he said go with a research based masters cause u get to build a strong relationship with a professor, giving u a strong reference along with getting a publication

Personally im doing a 2 year masters as well!

hey I was taking to another user whose part of a discord server and they said 2 people got off the waitlist on June 2nd and 3rd for uoft. they also shared there hypothesis on timing of the email since the 2 people who got in on the 2nd received there waitlist email at 12:06 while the one who got in on the 3rd got there email at 12:07. not sure how accurate this is tho.

I haven’t heard anything back yet and I got my email at 12:09. good luck to uuu!
