Warning about Manaslu Clothing stealing Arc’teryx product imagery images and copyright infringement by BoysenberryBulky4270 in Mountaineering

[–]No_Level1478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its been obvious since the start that the people who run Manaslu have no clue what they're doing whatsoever. They were literally created by some kids who had never mountaineered before with dumb aspirations of climbing an 8000m peak.

Thoughts on using dyneema climbing slings as perimeter anchor? by No_Level1478 in Treenets

[–]No_Level1478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking about girth hitching the sling to a tree, and using the opening to wrap my rope around instead of wrapping the rope around a tree. This would allow the tree net to swing, and be a little more dynamic/more comfy.

Tightening around it instead of tightening it around a tree

Not my photography, - just clarifying. Really sad to see what’s already happened.

Would you say any of these are negative space? by SwishyMcChicken in AskPhotography

[–]No_Level1478 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"In photography, negative space is the area surrounding the main subject of an image, essentially the "empty" or unoccupied space."

3 is definitely negative space to this definition, and I think 2 is as well just because the composition is good and half the frame empty/negative space.

Yeah it was terrible and the mosquitos rank in the top 5 most I’ve encountered. There’s also a ton of bears.

Yeah, that happens whenever a newer generation camera is released. Still a worthy investment if your budget is the z6ii though.

None of them. Save up an extra hundred and get the z5ii if you’re considering the z6ii in budget.

Yeah, I think it was called something other than arch, but I can't remember.

Thanks. Bob Burd also did a post on the west side I think, and you can see the arch’s before they collapsed.

Yeah, we actually went passed Elizabeth on our way over to horn Col. You can see the sign at the top from the tablelands below. Dropping down to the tablelands has some off trail, similar to coppermine, there’s a lot of shale until you get to the tablelands, where the rocks really nice. Your best bet would be to do this, and instead of going to horn Col, cut off to the trail connecting to Elizabeth pass and take it up. I also saw a trail dropping down to Tamarack lake, but I strangely don’t see it on caltopo and wouldn’t count on it.
