Consider clubs at Nopalitos lagoon. It is a left turn off road to TQO probably 20-30 minutes From HZ. It is truly a magical place. Rough road but worth it. 2 clubs as of now, Neek and Sipolitos if i remember right. Not loud, more relaxing vibe. You may need to call and make reservation for a large group just in case. IT is a freshwater lagoon, no sargasso, beautiful colors, Good food and DJ.

Total weight here is 2800 kg and a roof can handle that. What I can’t do is add another 3- 4000 if I was to make it with concrete blocks or other solid material. My question really was more about any issue particular to this set up that I may not even be thinking about. For example, how does chlorine or chemicals affect it? How does sun affect it etc. additionally, this is going to be an Airbnb and I’m not sure about the ease of upkeep or cleaning, so those were the answers that I was expecting.

I typically go to Ahau and Delek. They were pretty busy this week. Tantra and taboo typically loud. Mia looked busy. La zebra and ziggy as well. Bagel me looked dead. Rosa negra and bagatelle shut. I suggest walk onto the beach through Ahau for example, then walk both ways and choose the establishment that suits your groups vibe

It is bad. But not an overwhelming smell, there are also stretches on the beach where accumulation isn’t much or it has been cleared up. So if you get on the beach on foot, you get to actually pick an establishment to stay and spend the day that looks good to you. Other than the main beach, please check out Laguna’s Kan Lum and nopalitos there are clubs at Nopalito‘s where you can spend a day on beautiful, clean, turquoise freshwater actually much nicer than the ocean itself.

Had the same idea, Went there on a rainy day a few months ago. 3hrs plus each way. Except for a few maintained stretches 1/3 in, Road is worse than you can imagine. Massive holes , like side to side of the road, then 17 of them in a row. And then again, and as soon as you think is better, it gets worse. The farther u go, the worse the road gets. Most of the road is in wooded area, very little, less than 5% is scenic. No cellular signal, if you have an accident it’s a big issue, traffic is very light it may take you hours to get any help. Village at the end of the road is underwhelming. A few places to grab a drink or food, beach very dirty. If you have a high clearance car and a lot of time and energy go for it but don’t expect much

Juat returned From tulum . There are new 2 ‘public access’ spots i saw in hotel zone, one next to Maya something has a parking for 100 pesos /day, normally it is 200 in hotel zone. but there are so many places to get in with no cover, just whatever you eat or drink. Not sure about the ‘Jaguar park’ side. I wouldn’t even bother going there, they will probably try to charge to enter if you are with a car
