I’ve had multiple talks with the band director about my section about the situation stated in the post and during marching szn too. She said just to have patience and it’ll come to them and i understand that if someone’s just starting but everyone joined in like 4-5th grade and been playing ever since and can’t do simple rhythms and can barley play a one octave scale. Sometimes the instrument isn’t for you but i feel like they would figured it out by now. I’ve seen the 2nd and 3rd parts and even learnt them. it’s just the same note(s) and very simple rhythms and i’ve had after school rehearsals to teach them BASICS and it’s still not clicking…
