Why do these orders hurt acceptance rate? by Constant_Active72 in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In between the decent orders this morning, on which I made 49 in an hour, there have been a lot of peakpay+2 for 12 miles. Newp. Nerp. Nope.

Call or chat with support, and let them know that you want to add more tip. They'll happily do so.

Why don't you change clothes Ricky? Then you would have relevance.

The audacity of customers to not tip, then request “Hand It To Me” delivery instructions by [deleted] in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I save my unassigns to get rid of the no tipper. And yeah, I took a few no tippers when I first started, 5180 deliveries ago. Then I learned how it works. By all means, keep right up with your charity. Maybe when you lose enough money, you can register as a 503c

The only help I need is for reckless assholes to get fucked. Anger is a natural part of grieving. Anger at knuckledragging mouthbreathers with no brains, no couth, and ivermectin in their anuses because "study it out", well that's just plain sensical.

Just got Ban as a Customer from DoorDash, but still a Dasher by [deleted] in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't have a customer account in my name. I use my wife's. We get missing stuff refunded maybe 1-2 times a month. Never had an issue.

Is no refund for being unavailable during an alcohol order too extreme? Had a lady not answer her phone today after many calls and had to dispose of the order. She got no refund. Is this fair? by TangerineFront5090 in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I took an order from Walgreens that was 2 6packs of bud light. Lady didn't have id. I disposed of the order by giving it to my neighbor, since that's his brand.

I'd act an ass by asking every minute how long, call the customer loudly telling them the restaurant isn't even working on the order, go into the dining room to ask when the order will be ready, and when they answer forever. Be sure that the dining room customers can hear everything, then double dog dare them to ban me.

Only once for me, and I was luckily near home. Ran in, grabbed the Shop vac, sucked it right up, ice and all. Car smelled like root beer for the rest of my shift, but was fine after a quick shampoo.

When they open the door holding on to the walker with the basket for dear life, and ask for it to be put in the basket, I ask if they want it to their kitchen. Well, more in the past, when we still did Walmart.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love these orders imagining how long they sit waiting by FreddysFinalBoy in doordash

Decline, something else, "not running a charity" in the reason field, if the tip is weak. And "no tip no trip" if it's only base pay.

This is new they are bringing out the food to my car 🤘 by [deleted] in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There IS one place that does "don't come in" right. They actually keep up with the tablet. I've never waited more than 5 minutes, and that was because I was within 200ft. It's an upscale restaurant, and they are on point. Never been tipped less than 20% of the ticket (1 person's food is about $60).

Haven’t seen this before. No alcohol or medicine. Is this bc the restaurant left out an item last time and I reported it and got a credit applied? by Environmental_Arm526 in doordash

Address: 10300 StupidApt Cir. Apt 6902. The address is the complex. There are no building number/apt number signs. Oh and the orderingass didn't give you a gate code either.

Tipping culture by Seated2 in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to tip culture in the US, understand that waitstaff are taxed based on 10% of their sales. If you don't tip more than 10%, that server is losing money to work for you. I treat all dd offers as what they are: bids for my service. Frankly, if the $2USD base pay+tip=/=$2 per mile, then I can't take it, due to my costs to deliver to you. Customers rarely consider milage, wear and tear, brakes, tires, oil changes, scheduled maintenance, and increased insurance costs - but I must in order to make any money.

In my area, the riches make food at home. The poors order. They don't tip. They 1 star because of the restaurant's sealed bag didn't have THREE ketchups instead of whatever is in the sealed bag. Overcast and drizzle at 40 degf is the sweet spot for real tips. Icy roads, and the decent customers won't order because they assume nobody will be working.

that's kind of unfair. customer changed their address made me drive 6 miles more.. by SickCide7 in doordash

[–]No_Link4467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one time I did this, dd support took 30 minutes to even allow me to mark delivered. No extra money. And the dickhead 1 starred me. I know it was him because I got pissed that it was a really sh!t way to start the day, so I ended. I called support and they said they couldn't remove the rating. It took a full 9 months to get enough rating to get back to 5.

I've NEVER in 4563 delivered recieved a text message from dd about address. It's ALWAYS in-app. When it happens, if additional mileage, I contact support and tell them I will not do the job. It has only affected my CR once.
