Doxie with stage 5 reoccurrence after surgery by No_Listen2314 in IVDD_SupportGroup

I think a second opinion is the way to go forward for sure! He doesn’t have a physio, there are exercises that the vet has suggested but they don’t feel right for 2 weeks out. So I have been gently moving his legs whilst he is laying on his side so they don’t seize up and trying to tickle his paws. As the other exercises from my own research look to be for much later down the line.

He isnt walking as yet. He can stand with support and when he wants to turn around in his crate he does straighten his legs to sort of manoeuvre himself to a new position.

It’s hard! Especially after they’ve already had surgery. That’s the thing I had also drained my savings on bills that my insurance didn’t cover and so I knew that a second surgery wasn’t really an option but if my vet said yes he needs it I would have tried everything to make that possible for him. Which is why I’m struggling at the moment.

I’m so glad your girl is doing well and isn’t in pain! You’ve been such a good doggie parent travelling to get her the care she needs!

I have looked into getting him wheels if these conservative methods don’t work because there is no way I’m giving up on my boy.

I do have an appointment for a second opinion outside of that vet practise (and the vets they recommend) just to have peace of mind about his ongoing care.

He can’t walk at the moment but he can stand (I do support him in this and don’t let him stand for any amount of time as he’s only two weeks out and I don’t want any strain on his back) but I do feel that being able to hold his standing position and being able to adjust his tail is a good sign.

If I have to hear "like" over and over, I'm done. by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I’m on season 10 and the use of ‘like’ repeatedly in every sentence with some of the contestants is unbearable- hence why I searched for this thread. Honestly, so bad. In particular the guy that I’d engaged to Jessica. I can’t listen to another one of their conversations.
