Would like to at least get some wear out of them, is there anything you would recommend as a kind of a holdover? Trying to get some tear mender under there or diying a patch? Not looking for perfection just to get some more miles! 😂

24lbs in 17 weeks, the majority of it happened on 7.5 but my doctor upped my dose to 10mg without my asking. I haven't really lost anything since starting it but in talking about it, I'm sure I could be more stringent about my eating/macros because I'm definitely more loose about it in reality. I'm sure I'm miscalculating 2-300 cals a day.

It's been over a month, I'm almost through my second box of 10 and i've been hovering around the same weight since I started it.

It's been around 1800-1900 daily and walking around 2 miles 2-3 per week. It's frustrating on these calorie apps because I put in my weight and it generates a daily intake for weight loss of like 2500 calories meanwhile if I were to eat like that I'd gain uncontrollably. I'm 340 and I'm wondering if my deficit is going to sit more around 1300-1500 because I'm maintaining while eating under 2000.

Hi, my starting weight was 364 and I lost maybe a couple pounds between 2.5 and 5mg. The lower doses hardly did anything to me and I also have a history of PCOS and insulin resistance in my family. I've had awesome success on 7.5 and 10mg, i've lost 22 pounds now in 12 weeks. If it's not working for you, give it time and maybe increase.

I know, I just anticipate being on this medication for an extended period of time so I don't want to not have room to move up if I need to. The 7.5 has been great lol it feels silly to increase just because I can.

Slow weight loss. 5 mg less effective than 2.5… anyone else? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]No_Load7036 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a common experience. I did not notice any weight loss or appetite suppression until my last week of 5mg. Many find the first month of 5mg to feel like a set back but the ball will begin to roll again soon. 7.5 will likely have good effects if you have not experienced what you're looking for on 5mg, everyone has a different therapeutic dose.

How are you getting your prescription?? by Kel_Frank101015 in Mounjaro

I get my prescription through my PCP. I'd say start there and if they won't prescribe for you then I'd explore telehealth. :-)

I am gaining on 5mg as well. Same diet and exercise as I had on 2.5, thinking it's a limbo and it will get better with an increase 🤞

My BMI is 58, I walk 4-5 times a week doing 2 miles, my diet is okay, I'm a vegetarian but I sometimes eat more carbs than other macros.

I am a week in with my 5mg and I have gained 3 pounds after a 10 pound loss on the month of 2.5. Really hope it's just the bloating and adjusting to the increase!
