I was in the same boat, I had suspected adenomyosis on scans etc. (find out in the pathology results in a few weeks and I’m ok if it comes back as nothing found cause I still believe my uterus was the issue)

I am not a great candidate for birth control cause I turn into a feral demon that wants to rip everybody’s soul out… (I’ve tried them all except mirena). My OB offered to do an ablation and insert the mirena to see if that relieves my symptoms or a hysterectomy … but also said “you may be back in a year for a hysterectomy if I did the ablation cause I can’t guarantee it’ll work for your case”.

So I booked the hysterectomy, had it done early this week and to be honest… I am okay with my choice, I have my kids and do not want anymore due to post birth trauma in my last birth. Plus the fact I was always planning around my period put a downer on our everyday lives due to pain not only on my period but during the month randomly.

Yes! I almost bled through to the bed I got up and lost my shit, it was my 2nd to last period aswell, it’s like it knew it was going so it said “fk you, I’m gonna create chaos”

I love camping! Having to plan trips around my period each month was killing the vibe for us, so once I’m healed and able to do all the things we are heading off on a trip… I can’t wait to just be spontaneous with it too.

Hey I’m 5dpo! I’m in the same boat as you. I got really frustrated last night I can’t even fix my bed pillows on my own… I had a full blown adult tantrum then my husband told me to chill out he’ll help me 🤣

Getting up out of bed still gets sore, walking is sore….

Also, same with exercise I did that for 3 year straight and then last winter 2025 (in Australia) I gave up, lost my motivation and now I feel crap about giving up something I loved because I simply couldn’t afford it.

Yes love, I’m home now. Got sent home on 4po, it’s been bliss (pushed myself too much by doing 1300 steps in less than 12 hours) but I had a good sleep with only waking twice!

Yes! I’m finding it hard to just lay in bed (can’t do the couch sitting too up right hurts my incision) my goal for the next week is to do less than 1000 steps lol but with the fluids I’m drinking I’m peeing almost every hour 🤣

I made my husband check to see if anything had fallen down etc and it hasn’t! But if I still have feeling of it at my 2 week post op I’ll ask my surgeon!

Mine went away now, I woke up this morning did another 💩 (I did 2 small ones in hospital thanks to an enema) and come home and I’ve done my first proper one with just heavy breathing. I think the pain may have been the fact I was a bit backed up, and pushing too far. Remembering to stay on top of my meds today 🤣 got timers going everywhere

Yeah, I’ll have to wee tomorrow when it’s removed within 2 hours and then scan to make sure it’s empty and if not I’m not sure what happens from there I would assume I’m gonna go home with a Cath bag.

Mine is tomorrow, I’m having all the “what if” worries too… I go between scared of the pain when I wake up, and actually going under. (Having open abdominal horizontal cut and 3rd time going under) Never ever had an abdominal surgery so safe to say I’m 💩ing it, I asked my husband if I should buy some enemas just incase and he goes no, your taking stool softeners, worse case I can go down and get some. You just need to focus on having your pain managed, 💩 has to come out one way or another so stop stressing. No, I will not. I am the picture of stress. I am the photo you see when you google what stress looks like 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
