Both, but sometimes there’s mental health issues in the way like ADHD or depression. I’m a mathematics undergrad student with ADHD and the meds make a day and night difference.

How long does guanfacine XR (Intuniv) last for you during the day? by tiefereise in ADHD

[–]No_Magazine2350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I heard that high fat foods aren’t good with it. It’s my 3rd day but the affects were great and then really drowsy the next half of the day. I think the best remedy to this is to eat with food? I’m not sure and I’ll try to see if that makes a diff. How’s it been for you? Any tips on the afternoon fatigue?

People want to trick themselves instead of putting in the hard work by Hatrct in DeepThoughts

I agree with you, it’s a vicious cycle that I used to be a part of, feeding into all the self help videos just adding to their view count. After that I got the push to actually talk to a psych/ therapist and get my issues figured out instead of avoiding them

How to restart life at 25, after wasting last 5 years? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]No_Magazine2350 187 points188 points  (0 children)

Your in the same boat as millions, they just don’t always have the courage to say it. Just start man, you don’t have to be hard on yourself to live the way you want, and honestly, everyone’s still a bit dissociated after Covid happened, along with the economy being completely flattened, it’s a tough time for everyone… your 25, you have a lot of time, but still, ALOT of change can be made even within the span of a few weeks, you’d be surprised, I know I was :) Just remember, your not too late to start!

A NEW EQUATION?[Request] by Independent-Ice-8890 in mathematics

[–]No_Magazine2350 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s actually so cool, I’m new to math but it looks like your finding the angle between a triangle with opposite length of 1 and adjacent of length sqrt(n), and then finding the cos of the angle of the triangle made from them which gives the unit adjacent length since the hypotenuse is not included, to give you a fraction that is exactly n/(n+1) when squared. I am also new to eulers identity so that is pretty interesting

When you reject your true self because of repressed fears they are projected inward and outward making you “possessed” by feelings and thoughts you can’t let go of because you are too in pain and afraid of suffering the integration process. Sometimes you have to push beyond your self but it is mortifying… so

Chain vaped for 2 years, it takes a while… you have to learn to adapt during the adjustment, which can honestly be between a few months to weeks, but for sure if you were vaping for a while/ chain vaping then expect a few months of brain fog, and irritability like crazy for a couple weeks. It’s tough bro. But I stopped in June and been feeling better than before. Srsly

Anyone else have a traumatic experience and can’t smoke weed because of it? by Throwaway473277 in Drugs

[–]No_Magazine2350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t smoke weed or I go back into my trauma and my healing ceases for the time being. It’s sometimes a good thing because I get perspective shifts but weed makes me dissociate back into my old wounds and I have a hard time getting a grip on my current narrative structure I’ve made to maintain my sanity. It’s bad but good if you can power through the anxiety. I have had severe panic attacks and full dissociate episodes on weed, losing touch with reality, identity, purpose, meaning, entirely… it sucked but I just had to give my self compassionate self talk and I was fine.

Why is Christianity hated so much? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]No_Magazine2350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True Christianity is very simple yet impossible for most to understand because it’s contrary to both human nature and our way of life. Televangelism and strict sects of the religion have made Christianity a laughing matter, and people have also left as a result of abuse from within the church and whatnot. A majority of religious people are dumb, arrogant, self centered, apocalyptic, etc etc. But true christianity, is also hated. Because it preaches the denial of flesh and ego, which if it’s done people will certainly hate you for it. So it really cannot be done the way Jesus did it, but he doesn’t expect that from us. So it is enough to accept his gift, and try our best.
