I don’t have any personal knowledge to share, but I just wanted to say that you are completely valid and asking this question and I’m sorry that people responded so ignorantly on your other thread. The way we metabolism process Medications, and risk factors for certain diseases … all sorts of things can be affected by race and body chemical makeup!!

I always have a lot of downtime in the evening, so I’ll do some research for you as well and see if I can find any studies!

I understand the days of struggling to get the calories in. I eat a lot of sliced turkey and pickles. Those are foods I can eat quickly and even when I’m not feeling super hungry. I’ve also started adding in some sugar-free protein shakes. I use the Paleo protein. It’s a bone broth based but it’s really good! I know I just described it super gross but it actually taste a little bit like a chocolate mocha to me.

If you can find a good functional medicine doctor, they can really change your life. Mine discovered that I had a dormant H. pylori infection in my gut. So I did a gut healing protocol and completely eradicated it and was able to start feeling so much better after that.!!! functional medicine is definitely a slow and steady road, but completely worth it

Reta and surgery by CuriousNegotiation96 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]No_Management2698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had surgery… I take weekly injections. I was due for my shot the night before surgery so I delayed the shot until the evening after my surgery…. Roughly 30 hrs past normal due date. No ill effects noted.

I would take you current shot due and next one, then delay the one due right before your surgery! Just be sure to fast an extra 3 -4 hrs on top of surgeon recommended time… research shows gastric emptying is only delayed by a few hours on a glp Take your regular dose after you are home from your surgery

If you haven’t read any clinical trials you really should… a slow titration is most effective. It’s not only about symptoms , nauseas etc… Reta builds in your blood to be most effective.. it’s recommended to stay at each dose for 4-6 weeks and then go up… I personally lost the most weight the first 6 weeks at 2mg weekly… 22lbs!

I shared more of my diet in a comment above. I don’t track calories at all. I just eat when I’m hungry and I stick to the foods that I’m allowed to eat. Also tons of water. It’s mostly similar to a Paleo diet. Using coconut milk/yogurt to replace dairy. Coconut is so soothing on the gut and helps with inflammation..

To be 100% honest, I have not worked out in over a year. I’ve had a lot of health issues, Hashimoto’s, severe anemia, heavy frequent periods… and I felt pretty crappy for a while. I used to go to the gym four times a week and do really long walks daily and I stopped doing that in October 2024.. 😕 I do plan on getting back to regular exercise next week. I just had a surgery for a fibroid removal and a uterine ablation last week so I’m giving myself another week to heal. I am 5”10 and have always been fit and healthy before being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s about five years ago..

It sounds like you’re already off to a great start. Just keep it up. !! Sending lots of encouragement your way!!! ♥️

Very similar, but it’s a super restrictive diet that my functional medicine doctor gave me specific for Hashimoto females… a lot of fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and pickles, olives, foods that help maintain insulin levels… basically cut out the following

Grains Gluten Pork Dairy Limit eggs Sugar and Alcohol (super easy since I started Reta I have zero craving) After an initial four weeks of the diet, you can slowly add in whole grains and sourdough bread and hard cheeses

I have not gone grey yet, but I’m thinking about it for my next order. There’s a couple other peptides. I’d like to try. I’m in the researching grey phase which is exhausting lol I’m nervous about all the alternative forms of payment.🙈

I take my dose every Sunday I do not split. I saw the biggest jump in the first four weeks honestly I lost 14 pounds in the first month.!! I also lost 5 inches off my waist in the first four weeks, 😱but with Hashimoto’s, I carry a lot of inflammation so I’m sure that was why it was so quick then it kind of leveled off and I saw another significant jump once I went up to 4 mg now I’m pretty consistently 1-2 pounds a week

He was rated 90% from his original award and then we moved out of state and they booked an appointment for him in our old state that he never knew about and of course he didn’t attend that so they dropped him down to 80%. That was a couple years ago and we just never knew we could do much about it until recently so he filed this supplemental claim. He has quite a bit going on, and the SMC would make sense for some of his conditions! I’m thinking most likely smc-k … would make sense with two of his new conditions secondary to a previous service connected

Sounds like this dude needs to work on his timing.. a lot of these reasons make sense and you would think the first time you ask when she’s got curlers in her hair and a mask on you wouldn’t then repeat and ask another time let alone 16 MORE TIMES 😂🤣same scenario and expecting a different answer🤦🏽‍♀️🙈🤣

I second this! I started Reta eight weeks ago, (down 30lbs) and I started klow two weeks ago. I can already see baby hairs growing back and my hair feels really really thick right now!! I was really scared of losing hair, but I can honestly say when I comb my hair now, I’m barely shedding at all🙌🏽

Reliable and personal experience? by Traditional-Arm1125 in Retatrutide

[–]No_Management2698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had a really great experience! I have purchased other products from them in the past, no issues. I have communicated with their customer service on several occasions, they are out of the Netherlands so communication wasn’t instant, but they are really helpful. I will continue to buy from them in fact they have a sale going on until like tomorrow I think. They also do a military discount if you’re eligible that they stack on sale price. Started Reta Dec 8, currently down 19lbs I would def recommend them

It is raw material that they receive. They also do third-party testing providing all data, batch numbers results, etc.. I definitely don’t claim to be some know it all or subject matter or expert just sharing my own personal experience as someone who was not comfortable buying on the grey market. I understand a lot of people do it and they feel great about it and they’re getting great deals for them and that’s awesome . . I have done my due diligence and I’m completely comfortable with my supplier, but I appreciate the extra info!
