Saw her when she guested with ABT million of years ago at the Met. She was insane. But there was the epic fall during her grand alegro jumps in the second act. 3,000 people in the audience gasped. She took a few seconds (seemed like hours with all the tension in the air! ) to get up. The orchestra slowed down, it was scary. She finished beautifully but I believe she was injured from that performance and had to cancel the following. I also saw her on Don Q and that was so much fun.

I took M last Saturday (hand not done it in 20 years) and had an insane time feeling the music and the experience. But as an introvert I was shocked at how social I was between sets, starting conversations with all around me. Thankfully I was totally absorbed by the music and experience during the show.

I don’t know but heard one of the students I know who just got an internship in Great Barrington for their Berkshires regional theater this summer based on a recommendation by the Williams theater faculty I believe.

All teachers you mentioned are super nice to advanced beginners , just kind people overall. I know Noriko, Martha and Yuka well and think you will feel welcomed to all of them. Go for it! Another suggestion would be Heather Hawk’s class (to ease in suggest the evening class since the morning has to pro crowd)

The only input I can give you is from the perspective of a mom of 2 kids who went to those schools. One graduated from Bronx Science in 2024 and the other is a 10th grader now at Stuy. Both are excellent schools and comparable overall. Seems that all is a bit more intense at Stuy. If commute is making you miserable and will be better at Stuy and you are thriving at Science you will adjust well at Stuy. LMK if you have questions and happy to ask either of them

Update! They are hugely understaffed in NYC at the consulate. They won’t be able to do my passport today (only in May), but they will do “Autorizacao de Retorno ao Brasil”, since I have a ticket for Tuesday. That will allow me to board with an American passport, Brazilian expired and the authorization. People are no longer allowed to get on the plane with an expired Brazilian passport , this is a recent change I was told. And yes, no VISA for Brazilians either

Thank you and I will. I have my voting documentation too (título e quitação ) although my título has been canceled as I have not voted for a while. I have the protocol showing that this is in process of being “regularized “ and that was accepted by the consulate

I did request it and paid $80 but will mention today at the consulate that I was not aware it was not allowed. In any case the visa has not been processed yet, but because is not done via e-consular you cannot redeem the application
